  • Anagrams of the programmer's name are: DRY AMIGO LICE, COME LAY RIGID, GAY CRIME IDOL, GRIM OIL DECAY, and I ICY OLD GAMER.

    About sums him up.

  • @wandererlain LOL!

    How are you doing that?

Do you have an anagram program?

  • @alex76gr Yep. Free to download or go to WordSmith Internet Anagram Server. At last this reply function works.

  • ouh! i´ve be´n hit !

  • I would love to play this game for laughs. Mind you, at 0:50 wasn't that "Ahh" screaming sound effect from the game, "Night Breed" included with the Amiga 500 Screen Gems pack (during an animation at an asylum when somebody breaks though a window or something?)

  • @TableWolfMusic Sorry mate, i can't know because i have never played "Night Breed". :)

  • @alex76gr I think you've just found yourself another amiga game to avoid. The problem with avoiding it in the past was, as mentioned, the fact that it was included with the Amiga computer itself in the Screen Gems pack. *shudder*

  • @TableWolfMusic Alright!

Maybe i make a video about it when i find some time.

  • Typical Call of Duty video.

  • On the Atari ST version I discovered you could skip levels just by pressing the Help key. Also the speech was different... it used to say "WATCH OUT SARGENT! WO BODIE-BO!"

  • I CHOKED ON A DORITO LOL

  • xD very funny...

  • ive been huuuuuuhhhhttt

  • lol

  • Wow, what a mess this is.

    "ow! i've been hit!"

  • Lol now that is a crap game, even if i played this in 1988 I would still consider it total crap.

  • "Ow! I've been hit!" Made me feel slightly guilty... or maybe that was just 'cos I played it AT ALL!

Not so much the graphics and sound that "got" me, as those could pass in 1988, but the fact that it was impossible to progress very far, and there were only 5 levels! you'd get bored of this within 5 minutes!

I'll be astounded if anyone can prove to me that this CAN be completed, without the level skip cheat or save states!

  • Always remember, the last thing you want to do on the battle field is to crawl in front of your enemy, slowly raise up and spend 5 seconds taking aim.

  • That was quite hilarious mate.

  • @ash81b4u Thanks Ash!

  • @alex76gr dunno what you are saying in this vid, looks awesome !

  • @BinaryReader You are kidding... right?

  • @alex76gr lol, it aint that bad :)

btw, good on you for making these vids on the lesser known titles. subscribed.

  • Can't decide which one I prefer (sic): 'Oh i've been hit' or the crow-like effects when the soldiers are shot. Truly awful. However - and I might be on my own on this - I was actually quite impressed with the machine gun sound despite it's obvious repetitiveness.

  • Fucking hell, is it really that slow and lag? Or is that just from the emulation?

  • @Xyphoe I don't think it's from the emulation.

There is no chance for this crap to play smooth and fast even on a real Amiga!

  • lol yeh its bad but i love it when the guy appears upclose, looks like a dustin hoffman wannabe!

  • Citadel is another piece of shit on the AMIGA.

  • @wrestletube1 Actually i am not quite sure that it's a piece of shit.

Yes it doesn't have the best graphics, sound and frame rate but did you know that it was designed to run on a humble A500 with 1MB Ram?

What i mean is that if you make such a game to run on an A500 you must somehow keep the specs low.

  • @alex76gr Behind The Iron Gates was for the A500 with 1MB RAM and it was way better than that pile of piss called Citadel which I can only find an A1200 version of by the way which means it's made for the A1200.

Behind The Iron Gates by far beats Citadel in every aspect of playability not talking graphics which makes Citadel in my opinion an AMIGA game to avoid.

  • @wrestletube1 Look at back2roots in the section of ADF games.

I tested through Winuae with an A500/1MB/1.3Rom and it worked. That means it was designed for OCS/ECS.

I still agree that technically it's not something special but, hey! it's running on an A500!

BTIG doesn't use full textured environment and the graphics look a bit strange. It is a good game though.
