But it was definitely one of the most fun fights. I always tried to challenge myself by having a falcon man thing with me when I got up to him. Done it a few times and even had one live through the whole fight.
I would be very interested in that actually. It doesn't make sense that Nintendo just gave up on ever releasing it in the states, but they still use the characters in smash bros. and stuff.
I had the most amazing dream the other night. It was playing this song. I was walking through post-apocalyptic zombie areas filled with dead bodies and walking dead.
This is perfection... I mean, just listen to this, every instrument here has a story to tell you, a dream to share with you... CLosing your eyes while listening to "Sea of Eden" is undeniably the best way to reach your own Magicant
@Pirwett i always thought the concept of one's own magicant to be both fascinating and frightening. in all honesty, i always felt i came across mine under some very scary circumstances.
This song seems to be pretty quiet, even peaceful on the surface, but to me, it actually sounds incredibly sinister and even terrifying. That breathing sound that underlies the rest of the instrumentation speaks of an very evil presence that lies very near... incubating... deep inside.
Ironically, EarthBound, MOTHER 3 and Chrono Cross are my favorite soundtracks. EarthBound/MOTHER puts hard emotion into the music, and specifically ties it to the mood of what's going on in game. An example is a title called "It Is Finished" Spoiler warning for comments and related videos on the side though........ *sniff*
Great for orchestra, but what most mean is how it has an emotional attachment to you. It's so easy to understand if you played the game, and pretended you were Ness. The way Shigesato Itoi got his team to make the music time with so many events perfectly boggled my mind. They overdid themselves in Mother 3, I must say. Especially the ending. Don't spoil yourself over the ending, though.
@heavyboxes I bet youll appreciate Bound Together if you havent heard of them already, free album download on starmen.net,you can also checkem out here on youtube!
Well yea, up until the ps1/n64 era we missed out on afew titles, like chrono trigger, luckily i got to play that but it pisses me off that no one else here got to play it...

It's too bad there were only three Kraken in the Sea of Eden, and not twelve, fifty, or an infinitely-respawning amount.

You just can't hate this soundtrack...
They did such a great job and that with the SNES. Those tracks > any new OSTs, of course there are newer games with great OSTs but damn

I used emulators to play Chrono Trigger. Back when I was 10!
I got CTDS as well.
If they remade EB, or put it up on the VC, I'd buy it right away.
I want to support it.
Flumpansamonga 2 years ago 3
Absolutely, it'd sell like hotcakes, i wouldn't be supprised if they did re-release it actually, after the success of chrono's remake.
Bailboy 2 years ago 3
Actually......
Chrono Trigger didn't sell THAT well. It did great. Not better. Not worse.
If they could hype EarthBound a bit, not too much, but enough to get the attention it deserves, I think it could easily climb up to the Top 10.
Chrono Trigger is somewhere around 25th place of DS games when it comes to sells.
I think people are tired of ports. Give us Mother 4 on the DS. Mother 3 is great and fun. It was perfect for the GBA.
I think Mother 4 would fit perfectly on the DS.
