  • Anyone here played Chrono Trigger - Flames of Eternity? Downloaded the game, and started playing it on my SNES EMULATOR yesterday. Man, it's not perfect like the original, but I think the game is awesome! I guess you should at least try playing it. Same battle system, same graphics, same characters(some new characters...), new history!^_^

  • @lessien07 its also called Crono and Marle ~ Far off Promise

  • This game's soundtrack, along with numerous others (Especially Squaresoft games), proves beyond a doubt that the SNES had far superior sound hardware to the Genesis. You just don't get music like this on Genesis.

  • what is the name of the song from 4:39 until the end? thanks

  • @lessien07 green memories i think, i know it has the words Green and Memories

  • @lessien07 the song is to good friends

  • The following comment is absolute--BEST GAME EVER!!!

  • When I first started playing RPGs my older cousin gave me Chrono Trigger. He did all the endings and loved it. He wanted me to experience the love for this game that he had. I must say that I love this game more with every passing day. Games made nowadays lack what Chrono Trigger has. Wonderful story, excellent characters and just a place in my heart. My favorite character is hard to choose but Robo is a top contender due to what he goes through. I wish they would make more games like this.

  • epic ^^!.

  • I just beat this game today!

  • chrono cross- dreamwatch of time

  • chrono cross is NOT a worthy sequel period.

  • @theARTIST0017 I'm not sure it's a period at all.

(Yes. I'm making fun of your lack of proper punctuation. DEAL WITH IT!)

  • @Xidphel umm. Ok.....

  • This is a true masterpiece!

  • a great job, by the great composer: Nobuo Uematsu, no doubt. I cried when hear this wonderful melody T-T the best game (for me) in the history of RPG'S

  • @Lenneth9999 Yatsunori Mitsuda composed this track.

  • Bought this game on the Wii virtual console last year... I encourage anyone with a Wii to do the same! The game is amazing, in my opinion only matched by Ocarina of Time.

  • @XanKage

Not the same genre but both awesome games...

  • IF I HEAR THAT FUCKING CLOCK ONE MORE TIME

  • I love how if you truly played this game you have a feel for the characters..... like u bond with them.

  • This is a genuine masterpiece worthy of its title, and Mr. Mitsuda is a true composer worthy of his.

  • I never beat this game because I was like 2 when I played it... what happened? Did they all return to their times?

  • @killincat470 pretty much. once lavos was defeated the gates started disappearing but they all said farewells before stepping into the gate one at a time and being returned to their original years.

  • I miss this game... I'm going to download it off of PSN now.

  • Hey if you don't have the game on the SNES then you can still get it the PS1 Remake of it on PSN it's only $10 bucks!

  • @Reaper16a It has really long loading times :(

  • @mongomondomongo Yup =(. Hell go on Ebay buy yourself a SNES And Crono Trigger added bonus is the nostalgia and/or retro feeling. That's what I'm about to do.

  • @Reaper16a It's also on Wii or DS. I bought it for iPhone and the controls are terrible.

  • Also the version of this song from chrono ressurection is god tier.

  • One of the best songs to the best game with the best sound tracks ever? does this make this the best song ever then?

  • Chrono Cross was better

  • @preludepatriots Cool story bro

  • *shiver* just beautiful. This is most likely the best game music ever

  • i crai everytim

  • The good thing about SNES emulators is that you can save at the exact point where this song starts xD

  • quite possibly the best game created of all time...

  • where is the prehistoric dance theme??

  • and the man tears hit the floor...hit the FLOOOORRRR

  • Ozzie, Flea, Slash, Zeal and Dalton dislike this song.

  • The end of a semester comes to a close. All your work is done and you feel accomplished. You know you and the entire class personally set the bar high for the next group of students to go to the class you JUST completed.

You have nothing to say except sigh in relief for a job well done. Time will tick on as you look forward as you go on to your next big adventure.

  • i felt in heaven when i heard this part *--*

    2:38

  • This theme cured my cancer and aids.

  • This music gave me heart again.

  • nossa que foda nostalgia mode on

  • happy new year D:

  • This sounds like the MK64 ending theme

  • @Grimman007 no

  • Sweet Jesus... I remember when I first heard this... And that ending when Epoch flies through all realms. Still makes me cry...

  • they should have a party move which merges all there elements together like Chrono's ( Lightning ) fire and ice =)

  • @KaiserVadin But there is! :) It's called "Delta Force"

  • @kellyraye815 don't forget about delta storm :D (lightning 2, water 2 and fire 2)

  • Just beat this yesterday. (Let's just say I'm on a retro-gaming spree... I was just a toddler when the SNES was alive, so I didn't play many of those games).

And god, I haven't felt that great after a game since Earthbound. So perfect. I especially loved Lucca, but I was so impressed by this game. Great music, great plot, great gameplay (I was pretty stunned by the battle system). I would say more, but.. 400 character limit :P

I'll miss you, Chrono Trigger. Time to play Secret of Mana!

  • can somone make a 10 hour video of this music?

btw, when i hear this music it feels like one of my memories is trying to come out to let me remember something. i get such a headacke. what dose it want me to remember? and not only that... it feels like i lost my memory and cant remember

  • @misty11 It wants you to remember exactly how this felt, way back when you heard this for the first time. Happy you'd finished the game, sad that the adventure was over, no more places to explore, no more battles to fight. A curious combination of satisfaction and wistful longing as you watch them float away into the sky, holding onto those balloons and wishing you could be there with them.

  • @mjkittredge Do you realize that you have just articulated everyone's heart in this?

  • 4 people never flew on the wings of time

  • To me this song defines the 16bit era of video games...

  • epic ending song

    This Song Defines RPGs

  • This was SO sad to hear at the end of the game. Esp w/ seeing everyone in their respective times and knowing they'll never see each other again.

  • Damn it, now I have to play this game again because of this OST! xD And I am going to love doing it.

  • The Best I get Chrono Trigger fever once a year, just saw the true Chrono Cross ending - never did - and it was quite nice. The whole Chrono universe imo is the most brilliant universe ever created, been playing it since I was 7 and I found it on my own because of the cover & squaresoft. I can't help but always love this game and what it did for me. Truly a gem in the library of video games.

  • I HEAR CORRIDORS OF TIME

  • Best JRPG of all time, and i don't even like anything in the genre aside from this series.

  • Every single time i listen to this song, I get goosebumps and weep like a baby :(

  • this song still gives me goosebumps lol

  • Long life to Chrono Trigger! Simply the best game.

  • The 4 Dislikes of this song are Lavos, Zeal, Dalton & Ozzie.

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 Seems like Azala disliked too

  • @Gilmoreboy2007

Should add Azala to that to.

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 The 5th dislike is Lavos Spawn.

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 add two more - Slash and Flea

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 Now Flea and Slash hate it too

  • Amazing!

  • 2:38 - 3:15 amazing... <3

  • this was the first rpg game i played and the first game i was addicted to

  • It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Remains in my playlist still after 10 years, sheesh I feel old lol

  • Even Chuck Norris cried when he heard this ending theme.

  • @LinkedSnake Ergo... if Chrono Trigger music makes Chuck Norris cry, then it means that....... Chrono Trigger cures cancer!! Yasunori should get a Nobel for this

  • @Hailstormful Beautiful

  • @LinkedSnake Honestly, all the Chuck Norris jokes were just getting so old and stupid but yours was hilarious as shit though!

  • @LinkedSnake do not make fun of chuck norris feelings ;)

    you may get killed

  • *sigh* My favorite game... only game with a 500+ NewGame plus completion

  • i hate square enix. when they came out all the good games died out. bring back square soft!!!!

  • the remake for the DS had another ending them

  • The 3 lavos voted negative. TROLLING HARD

  • @BillyCyrusHabbo Actually, that's the same lavos from different moments in time

  • Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which is electronic music inspired by great games such as Chrono Trigger. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!

  • 3 people like it in the mouth.

  • I NEED CHRONO TRIGGER 2!! e_e

DAMN YOU ENIX! DAMN YOU I SAY!!!

  • @CustomWeapon chrono cross ps1

  • @theintoxicant Never Play Spin-Off Will I.

  • @CustomWeapon there's a sequel, chrono cross, but it has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with this great masterpiece of a game.

  • @ShamanTheHedgehog Actually it does... <_<. But its sprung on you in the last few hours of the game.

  • @tjdude09 huh... so is it as complicated as inception?

  • My best friend introduce me to this music more than 17 years ago. He passed away on 1998.

This is the best game ending music of all time.

  • I played this game when it first came out. It blew my mind. The year 2000 was still 5 years away and this game's take on doomsday was so captivating. This game may have had the best ending of all time. It just tied all the knots and you could even affect certain events like Lucca's mom and whether or not you destroy the Epoch or save Chrono. To Yasunori Mitsuda, if you can see this, your music and this game made my life complete.

  • @Dreamewalker this commenter needs a medal, for underestimating in the largest way possible. chrono trigger was the Chuck norris of games, the sequel gave all of that away and started with a slap to the face called chrono cross. even today they make mistakes, but i don't care about the ff13 characters having no likeable personality. i'd much rather see chrono trigger 2 DONE RIGHT. (THUMBS UP DREAM TEAM!!!)

  • 0.00 to 5.48 is my favorite part

  • ._. every video I see there's someone who's talking about how they cry at something. Seriously guys, I can be emotional too, but don't you think enough's enough? -_-

  • @UltimateTibu If there's any place to be emotional, it's listening to this song, especially in context after finishing the game. If you can't feel it, I swear you don't have a pulse.

  • @TehBrawlGuy Not saying it doesn't have that special atmosphere to it. Just saying everytime I see a video someone's saying how they cried over it =_=

  • Whoever disliked this i will come to your house and i will fight you

  • Songs like this restore my faith in humanity.

  • Mountains're nice.

  • This game inspired me to become a writer... Why? I dunno... I always wanted to recreate this feeling of epic and gleeful moments in my life. ^^''

  • 4:39 is really great part

  • I don't usually cry but hearing this made me tear up..

  • this song <3

  • actually i think its the epilogue track that does it (listening to that one now and im crying like a baby), but this one doesnt help me gain my composure to say the least

and i was playing on my ds btw if u were wondering

  • anyone else cry every single time this song plays during the credits? Ive beaten this game all the way through at the very LEAST 10 times, and I have yet to make it through this song without shedding a tear or ten

was playing this in class one day and beat the game and this started playing and im like "shit shit dont cry". needless to say i cried :/ but i was in back so no one saw

    *crying now*

  • @darkprince909 you bet I'm a 26yr old dude, I cry easily, quite touching.

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 heh im almost 19 (only got to play this game around 6 or 7 years ago thanks to my cousin grabbing the ps1 version for me) but its easily my favorite game of all time

this (actually the epilogue track starts it but this one keeps it going) is just about the only thing that can bring me to tears anymore, aside from a loved one dying or something

  • BEST VIDEO GAME MUSIC, EVER.

  • its kind of funny to think that a big guy like crono would have a cat. xD

  • is chrono trigger a game that was made by the japanese? cause usually these kind of games are and the artistry is jap. aswell

  • When I was younger, and relatively unskilled at games, I'd managed to get most of the endings in a year. Since I was playing a new-game+ on my older brother's cartridge, I'd been able to get all the alternate endings. When I finally got the 'normal' ending after playing through to the end, and heard this song, it felt like saying goodbye to the people I'd come to know so well for a year of my life.

  • @PeyserConley Brother, thank you for uploading this good stuff, thank you :]

  • finishing this game and getting the OST i looked back and played it once more, but upon beating the game, i felt happy that the game ended well but seeing that everyone left...i cried due to how sad it was....thank you chrono trigger :)

  • When you hear this song in the end, it makes you feel like you've accomplished something, it just hits you that "I really did it", and that there is a sense of finality to the game. It makes you feel sad that the adventure is over and that the crew will go on their own separate ways. It's really powerful. Emotion-provoking. I just love this song.

  • This song is so moving. What an amazing game.

  • Final Fantasy, I'ma let you finish. But Chrono Trigger was the best game of all time! OF ALL TIME!!

  • @anon55555555 you got that right!!!

  • @anon55555555

    Of all sorts of times.

  • @anon55555555 CHEERS TO AWESOME RPGS!!!

  • @anon55555555 you mean IS

  • 16-bit rpgs are the best...

  • Chrono's music proves that music isn't about the tone color or the quality of the sound - no, it's all about the pitches and their arrangement, both vertically (harmonically) and horizontally (melodically)

  • The composer, Yasunori Mitsuda heard this music in his dream. When he first saw it put together with the ending, he couldn't help but cry.

  • @eugene680 Yes, I have heard that.

  • Harmonic Chromaticism & Double Melody FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheBlackStar999

"when you have your arms wrapped someone you love."

What if you don't? Nice comment though, I relate to that quite a bit.

  • @TheBlackStar999 Hey, nice comment =)

  • @TheBlackStar999 Thanks dude. I needed that.

  • @TheBlackStar999 Huh... o.o

  • @Nadel350 Hey squid-ball! Want some seafood soup?

  • @TheBlackStar999 Don't tease the octopus, kid! >:D

  • @TheBlackStar999 Just made my day thanks ^^

  • @sphinx200 No problem buddy. Remember, your life matters. Be proud of who you are!

  • @TheBlackStar999 i love you you too man.

  • @TheBlackStar999 gay undertone?

  • @ShamanTheHedgehog Knew I should have included "No Homo"...

  • @TheBlackStar999 You sir just made me cry. Notalgia levels to 100%

  • @amrgab0 "OZZIE'S... IN A JAM!"

  • Lynx: enjoy your little flight while you can heroes mwahahahahha *sharpens scythe*

  • @GarredHATES LOL!

  • My part favourite is the piano and sound of Clock!!

  • On another note, this song alone gives me great tears of joy because it reminds me of the satisfaction i had when I completed this game, I miss this game it was such great memories and I only wish to play this again to bring back the old memories. This is a wonderful thing to be reminded of such great times.

  • Man thank you for posting it!! this is an aweosme song by three great composers, let's all thank Yasunori Mitsuda, Noriko Matsueda, and Nobuo Uematsu for such an good compilation for an ending theme.

  • 2:06. That's when the waterworks start turning on for me. This is probably THE best song in the game.

  • thanks alot for the upload man

brings back old memories and just to tell, i'm 30 years old now

  • @gregos339 pppff....tell me about it man...a lot...a lot ot memories...great times... :p

  • @Chox100

i even went to search for the zenes emulator and for the game. and quess what, i got it!!!!! :)

  • supposedly, the composer of this song came up with it while dreaming. after learning that, i can easily see the resemblance lol

  • Best soundtrack ever. Anybody who disagrees is wrong sorry to say :)

  • @BushidoMH I love singing, but I don't think my voice is well suited for this awesome task. I do know of a really awesome youtuber you could ask: katethegreat19 I don't know if she would, but it's worth a shot. She's really REALLY good.

  • Sometimes, I look at the sky and kinda with the Epoch would come and get me for a crazy adventure... ^^

  • The beginning reminds me of the ending themes to the Donkey Kong Country games.

  • 2:07 , That piano.......

  • I'm crying, too T_Tbbbb

  • Oh fuck I'm crying :')

  • I want and don't want a sequel to chrono trigger.

I want it because with the current technology nowadays, they could make it look really beautiful.

I don't want it because knowing squareenix nowadays they'll probably concetrate more on graphics and not on story or gameplay.

  • This game had the best ending of all. Unlike most games, it actually gave you a story that shows how the characters have resolved everything which was a reward for all the hard work you had to do to get through the entire game. I love the ending where you see the Epoch go through all the different time periods showing each character living a normal life. It is really good when Frog changes back into his human form. It seems like the three main characters forget they are looking for Crono's mom.

  • when Squaresoft and Enix merged it kinda screwed a lot of great games

Super Mario rpg (for the people who wanted Geno in brawl)

Chrono Trigger (probobly won't be a sequal)

Dragon warrior, Monsters(now called monster quest I think) that series is nowhere near as good as it used to be but thats just my opinion

    There's probobly more

  • You know when you h
