He seems to be a handsome man, and his face looks simply cheerful; genuinely happy unlike many of the artists of today. The music sounds gentle, as if any crowd of people with ranging ages could just sit and have a good time. His song tells of a pure and simple love. I may not be much, but I love you.
I am 25 years old and music from this era just gives me the chills. There is such simplicity in these songs and there is just something about the sound of the music made in the 50's and 60's that is just incredibly amazing. Hearing a good cover band that will do Motown, just hearing the quality of the music and how gifted the singers were compared to the one singing the cover just blows your mind.
This isn't the original. The original is the main song. This was created in the 70's I believe on an album called "Right On...Soulin' with Sam Cooke" That album is filled with different instrumentations to some of Sam's biggest songs. It was a very poor decision to make an album that way when his songs are beautiful on there own.

That message warms my heart.

One of the greatests melodies of the history (in my modest opinion). Sam Cooke was a true compositor and singer, his voice was perfect for this song.

Are you sure that this is the original? Because I had heard quite better versions with synthesizers and etc.
I love his music very much! He was a great talent - as a singer and as a song writer!
Thank you for your posting. May be I'll play and add synthesizer here...
