but, if you want to be educated check out the mythbusters episode - they did a test using a TRUCK in front and a sports car following - not a sports car in front with a Van following and see how close and consistent they had to get for it to make a slight difference.

I calculated her average at 76 mph. I don't know if I heard her say "115" or "150". The latter would have been km or 93 miles. In a GB van I assume she's reading miles, so 115. Either way - 93 or 115 mph - that's pretty damned fast for a van, diesel at that. Look at my videos; you'll see me push 125 mph on the Autobahn in a petrol Accord... of course, that was fully laden...

Apparently the Transit is known to be very nimble for a van. The closest I've gotten to driving one is a Skoda panel van, so I can't comment, but 115 would be damned fast even in that, even on the straightaway... and the Ring is anything but a straightaway!! :o
