Hey, I have the same update and I'm on the tmobile network, when I go to select my carrier it is checked as automatic and my sim is in, do u know how i can get the automatic carrier off? Please and thanks

firstly, you're too desperate to review this thing ... relax. Second, threaded emails are awesome? oh really, you obviously don't work in an environment where this has become nothing but a pure nightmare. And thirdly, it's pnts: does it mms with a keyboard well - no -, is the reception good - as long as it's not in your left hand :) so - no - , is the battery life decent... well it lasts at least one day so - no -. So by all accounts this phone is an EPIC FAIL!!! end of discussion, good day sir.

Tim, first of all, thank you for that video you did for us. It helped a lot. Second, I've found you can turn off an app by tapping and holding it, then touching the minus sign in the corner of the icon.

Pandora isn't working in Europe so you can use Tunemark (it can multitask and have controls)

I can't find Pandora anywhere on my iPhone 3Gs i'm currently in the UK. And i can't find Pandora? Only Pandorabox, Pandoratube, Pandora War. But i know it isn't them :/ and I have tried Pandora Radio. Not found?

so about the lock screen orientation, if it's off does that mean that the home screen can be landscape like the iPad and such

@Bolling4 for every app: ie safari, notes, mail, stocks, etc, that rotates to landscape when the phone is turned to its side, will not do that. It keeps all apps locked in the Portrait mode. Which I find the most useful when surfing the web with safari laying down, say in bed or something.

can you run google talk or aim and leave it running in the background and receive alerts when some one sends you a message while doing other things on the phone?

@dan1home I'm not sure, but since the new OS supports VOIP services to run in the background, I would guess yes. All it would take is for the app developer to update on their end to get things shaking hands with iOS4 and it's multitasking capabilities. As far as AIM that already works, well at least with PUSH notifications.
