This is FPS Creator, it's not free unless you pirate it but it does suck regardless of whether or not you actually buy a license for it.

The only commercial game made with this that didn't blow was an incredibly obscure game called Anderson and the Legacies of Cthulhu. The other commercial games made with it are 100 times more obscure than that one.

The actual out of the box crap you can make with this (minimal scripting, no programming) is just that CRAP.

Second, making 'shitty' games is a great way to get hands on exp. so if you DO decide to take a game design course, you can walk into class with more than just a dumbfounded expression on your face when they start to mention tesselation, ambient occlusion mapping, and so on. Third, COD, GOW, BF3, and most other mainstream games today all look and play the same. Yawn. Finally, this is FPS Creator. Takes 5 minutes not 1,000.

But once I do the finishing touch's and do the final compilation the engine breaks completely. As my friend David says. 3 bugs in your java a code 3 bugs in your code. Why don't you just download UDK or Cryengine (free game engines)? this gives you all the ability to create you can handle while still doing it with professional software so you get used to real industry workflows. However, this does not get you past the need to understand basic game Artwork and Design concepts. To learn this you need to work your tail end off studying games and playing with the tools.
