This should have been a full album! It would have been one of the best Death Metal records of all time Guaranteed! but now it is One of the best Metal EP's of all time. I cant believe Mikael and the rest of the band didnt sit back and realize how much potential this could have had as Full album. If anything they could have just added these 4 songs onto The Fathomless Mastery album so we wouldnt have the Tease and thought of would could have been a whole New album.

personally i feel that deathcore is more brutal. vocals r usually more extreme and the music is faster paced. and i know im gonna get hated on but i love breakdowns they send chills down my arms.also the lyrics arent about loving the devil which im not really into, its about mass murder and shit like that which for me is so much more brutal and its makes me feel so evil when i listen to it. but that's just my opinion please dont hate i still love good old death metal.

And theres a blatand chugga riff in Carcass' Excoriating Abdominal Emanation. Like i said a breakdown is a musical element that's been used in the same way as Deathcore for a long time.
and by that i mean core doesn't make you unmetal if your already metal enough. i can enjoy sacrophago, morbid anegl, and drudkh at the same time enjoying shit like ingested, switch below, ASP

My vocals are mostly Death Metal (Akerfeldt is like my main influence) but when it feels right it transitions to Black Metal. So far the EP lineup is Black metal/Thrash/Sludge/Tech Death/Stoner-Psychedelic, pretty wide variety of influence. We aim to join the bands that can only be genre-labelled Progressive, at most Blackened Prog Death.

I like bands like bloodbath, but i wish they'd make their riffs the domanant sound, because otherwise you can't make them out well enough with the vocals and the bass pedals, 60% of the time.
People don't understand what Bloodbath is. They aren't going to sound like Opeth. It would be stupid to have 2 bands that sound similar with the same singer in both bands. Kind of like Slipknot and Stone Sour. Bloodbath was made to tribute old school death metal like Morbid Angel and such.
There both killer bands but, they different in style. I enjoy them both. Well i have been listening to Bloodbath only about six years or so do you know some epic albums? I have the last three.
@Shubalup I like both Mikael and Peter equally, Peter is a fucking GODLY vocalist and probably my favorite death metal vocalist. But you're right, Mikael belongs in Bloodbath, and Peter belongs in Hypocrisy.

I honestly think Opeth is alot better than Bloodbath...Mike really needs to contribute to the guitars here, he does the brutal death thing much better in Opeth (since he also writes all the guitars in that band, it's like his solo act.) Some of the Opeth songs like Drapery Falls, Blackwater Park, Ghost of Perdition, and Heir Appearant are 10X more 'gore death' sounding than this, yet people dismiss them because there's also acoustic parts. If you like Bloodbath, Opeth is 10X heavier at times.
@Taotrac I wouldnt say heavier. Opeth is the first band I ever heard that can make distortion and growling sound beautiful. Bloodbath is heavier, but Opeth as a more beautiful heavier sound you know what I mean?

@Eat6Shit6And6Die Actually since most breakdowns come from the Suffocation school of doing shit, a lot of Deathcore's stuff sounds like Suffo's stuff. And theres a blatand chugga riff in Carcass' Excoriating Abdominal Emanation. Like i said a breakdown is a musical element that's been used in the same way as Deathcore for a long time.

bands i like are Breathbeforesurfacing, Ring of saturn, Ingested, and switch below... that basicly it. JFAC got better though. i don't mind the new album.. but yeah kids need to learn what real metal is.

Real metal doesnt mix with hardcore, it's a genre made by people who are not true metal heads, like how nu metal came and jumped around and said hey you can still be metal and have short hair and everyone else in the metal community thought that was bullshit and so didn't adhere. And tbh I thought about it a lot and I think it's my fierce loyalty to Meshuggah that gave me my opinion of DC, because most of it sounds like one note Meshuggah right? Well at least most of what I've heard. I know the genre isnt a total loss because I've found good shit in it, so now I'm just moving towards a live-and-let-live mindset

@bearblaster420 I'll let you know when we post, gonna be pretty rough quality in the beginning but it's some fucking awesome prog. My vocals are mostly Death Metal (Akerfeldt is like my main influence) but when it feels right it transitions to Black Metal. So far the EP lineup is Black metal/Thrash/Sludge/Tech Death/Stoner-Psychedelic, pretty wide variety of influence. We aim to join the bands that can only be genre-labelled Progressive, at most Blackened Prog Death.

To each their own I guess. I think core has a lot of crap bands right now because it's the trendy genre and there are a lot of band wagon jumpers. People don't understand what Bloodbath is. They aren't going to sound like Opeth. It would be stupid to have 2 bands that sound similar with the same singer in both bands. Kind of like Slipknot and Stone Sour. Bloodbath was made to tribute old school death metal like Morbid Angel and such.

I honestly think Opeth is alot better than Bloodbath...Mike really needs to contribute to the guitars here, he does the brutal death thing much better in Opeth (since he also writes all the guitars in that band, it's like his solo act.) Some of the Opeth songs like Drapery Falls, Blackwater Park, Ghost of Perdition, and Heir Appearant are 10X more 'gore death' sounding than this, yet people dismiss them because there's also acoustic parts. If you like Bloodbath, Opeth is 10X heavier at times.
