  • Not as great as the orginial, but still pretty damn good.

  • At least Mrs Peel's catsuit was practical. Purdey's is all wrong for clambering over rocks. I still think the character's lightweight. At this point you wonder whether Gambit was introduced to add the meat she lacked. What a marvellous character actor Peter Cushing was, always energetic, always convincing, whether playing Dr Who, Sherlock Holmes, Van Helsing or even the mercenary Memnon. With what so often passes foe acting today, people like him are sadly missed.

  • The lovely german woman was Geraldine Gardner, born in Windsor! aka Trudi Van Doorn, later Sheila in the London prod. of A Chorus Line and Bombalurina in the original London prod. of CATS.

She sadly died in 1987 from hypothermia during a bout of post natal depression ( she had just given birth to twins) In mid winter, late at night, she walked out into the sea nr Colchester, then lay down on the beach and froze to death, she was found the following morning... RIP ..

  • Lovely german woman !!!
