  • I like it at 33:43.

  • Not much is known about FD, as most of her files were destroyed during WWII. What is certain and undeniable is that she was a good spy; unlike the more famous Mata Hari, she was never caught.

  • thank you for uploading :):) Great for younger fans of the older-classic movies - don't make 'em like they used to! :)

  • The Belgians wear French Adrian helmets and khaki uniforms made from material provided by the British.

  • Two scenes terrify me: when Laforet is assassinated--that is such a heartless thing to do to such a beautiful woman!--, and the gas attack, when the Belgian soldiers discover that they are not safe from the terrible effects of the gas. The uhlans and their horses, all wearing gas masks, look like specters.

  • 21m15 that man's imitation of a Scots accent is pitiful

  • Thanks for uploading. I was only able to see the last 20 minutes or so a few years ago in german televison. Did a hard google search to finde the title and was now able to see the whole movie. Thanks again.

  • Didn't know this movie existed until I saw the advertisement of this in the San Francisco Examiner microfilm from 1969 yesterday! Wish this would come on Turner Classic Movies. Can you believe this is still not released on DVD yet? And the format could be on its last legs! Eddie, you forgot to include the Paramount logo! (in which it says 'Paramount: A Gulf and Western Company')

  • Thank you for uploading it. I have always wanted to watch this film. Very interesting!

  • My best favourite classic spy-story....Suzie Kendall and Capucine, are really the superstar!

  • One of the best war films ever. Of course stifled by the J MAFIA .

  • 1:24:47 Most epic assault ever!

  • Thank you very much for an opportunity to see this interesting movie.

  • 23:00 OMG more "Loose Lips", poor Lord Kitchener

  • 19:20 talk about "Loose Lips" sink ships. Old woman was chattermouth

  • You don't live up to your name Mr Arsehead.

  • gran clasico de lattuada.thanks the uploader

  • Thanks for this great movie !!!

  • You Rock Eddie ! Thank You very much ! I've been looking for this movie.

  • THANK YOU!!!!! I have been looking for this film! It was a late night favorite on CBS in the early 70s.

  • A late night (KDKA, Pgh.) WW 1 war film played during the 70's, almost never seen again anywhere. A memorable Dino de Laurentiis work.

  • Yes, thanks for posting ... this film is one of the most underrated and almost forgotten of the war /espionage genre. It is not easy to find on the market, and I have seen it only twice before in the past 30 years.

  • Eddie, thanks for sending up this classic. I disagree with Carolyn130 wholeheartedly. The movie does a great job of portraying war as mean, cruel and ugly. WW1 wasn't Snoopy vs the Red Baron. This movie has stayed hidden for far too long. I saw it last in the 1970s. Now it's getting near the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1(2014), so WW1 films and documentaries will become greater topicality. Thanks again Eddie!

  • Awful film. Nothing good about it. Gas warfare as inhuman as she was. It was true and she died a drug addict in Switzerland.. The last scene was all that was artistic....she had blood on her hands. I hate war films. It was a good post. People should see how awful WWI was.....a great generation wasted. They were so stupid they were actually melting down church bells in Germany to make bullets. Da-ahhh!

  • Wow! I haven't seen this rare movie since 1969 when I was I was serving in the Army in South Korea! It Brought me back lots of memories. Good job, thanks for the posting!
