Thanks for the comment! Yes cutting our existing cabling into lengths will work fine, they don't have to be equal lengths either (although this will make the wiring neater).

Thank you for posting this.. very helpful! I know you said using any wire is fine, just want to be certain though; I used your 18 awg stranded wire.. I just cut 6 equal lengths from it and used those.. but before I power up, I want to be sure it's ok.. is it? Thanks!
