I think Orlando wanted him to stay out of foul trouble and advised him to ease off some of the aggressiveness so he can stay in the game longer.

completely agree with you Arminda. Grant it, Pippen may not have won 6 titles but Pippen wouldve still been an all-star. So would Jordan, but fact of the matter is Jordan would not have been Jordan without Pippen. Wouldnt have won 6 titles or 6 finals mvps. He may have one a couple of Reg Season MVPs but so have Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, and oh yah, Lebron. But have they won a ring? No. So all of you who say Jordan wouldve been the same without Pippen need to shut the hell up.

First of all, MJ came into the league avg. 28 points a game..he scored 63 against veteran Celtics team and he avg. t37 points a game in his third season... MJ won the awards on the team because he was the best, dumbass...He got the highest avg. in NBA History because he is the greatest!!

youre clearly biased.Yah, He's the greatest but if you know anything about basketball,you'd know that Jordan needed Pippen to be where he was.Yes, he pushed him to be better,but Jordan did not make him.Pip carried them far the year Jordan was out and almost won in 2000 with Portland.BTW, 12 ppg is damn good when 6 players on the team get that.Portland was an evenly distributed team wit wallace, wells,pip,smith, stoudemire, sabonis,randolph,Grant. Oh btw, Jordan's stats dropped in washington too.

Don't care what anyone says, Penny was good.... but so WAS Grant Hill, difference is that Grant kept playing consistently (over-priced) but consistent. No one in their right mind would say penny was shit. As for rings.... you don't need a ring to prove how good you were.. just look at half of the great players in the league (except those who got traded to a guaranteed championship team)

yeah but u cant dismiss and say he played wih no heart he was seriously messed up with injuires it can be tough, me from personal experience have been through that when i broke my foot playin ball and missed most of the year it was more mentally tough than anything else

I'm not dismissing Penny's accomplishments. I didn't say he played with no heart, but wish he could have played with more. Jordan broke his foot and had just as much nagging injuries as anyone could ever have from going to the rack. I still can't say that the result would have been the same if Penny were in Pippen's position because I still question his toughness.

When did Penny repeatedly school Pippen or Jordan? How many times were jordan and Pippen on the bench in the fourth quarter letting their teammates close out because they were up by 20 or 25 points? How many times was Penny on the bench asking "When will this end"? how many rings does Penny have either by himself or with one of the most dominant big men maybe the most dominant big man of all time? he didn't dunk "on" shaq, but it was on penny for real....penny said osmething to pip beforehand and scottie got pissed, i remember that....i guess penny thought he could d up pip, but pip showed him...there wasn't a player in da nba who could guard pip...i hated penny and i was glad his career tanked after his injury, all of his old fans flip flopped on him big time. .

yup, and pip went on to become the geatest small forward ever while penny became ignored because of injuries....i have seen a lot of kats flip flop because of his injuries for real...they make it seem like they never liked him but in reality most kats liked penny back then....
