What a beautiful artist: McLachlan that is, Josh is great, too. The harmony Josh sings (00:03:25 for those who are tone-deaf) is extremely effective. To view Sarah's Stripped Album of her 2006 Christmas songs, go the clearchannelmusic. She performed J.L.'s Happy Xmas (War is over). I have it on WMV and should post it here, I guess. It's absolutely brilliant.
dont get me wrong. i love Josh, Sarah, and this song... but it didnt particularly move me as it normally would. i think its the edge put to this version. now, if they were to sing the original... or, better yet, have Josh sing it on his own, who knows? ;D still, they have great harmony

It's more of a style issue now. She's more... free. He's a bit more reserved and lacks the accent and her style that makes the song so great. Sure the tune and lyrics are good, but they're only fantastic because of her delivery style; his is much much more different. You'll find that he doesn't have this capability to let go and such and such. They both may have been classically trained, but their personal styles are so different, that it's hard to sing it together.
Oh Give the man a break! When Singing a duet, one of the singers has to compromise on his/her "key" to compliment the other. This song is damn dificult to harmonize anyways. Josh did a commendable job !

Sarah is an amazingly stunning woman with an amazing voice, i love her more than, um... ice cream :) THis addition though, it's like putting two beautiful things together and getting something ugly. Kinda like... hmm... Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie... I have a gut feeling that the kid is going to look like that chimp Michael Jackson had back in the day. I'm just sayin! ;)

Bryn Terfel would be better than Josh. He was singing 1 octave to high because he couldn't lower. The song suits more for the bass-baritone to accompany than baritenor.
