I've been to HK / China in 2006 / 2007 / 2008 I refused to go in 2009 and will not return. Their country as far as I can see when I went durring port visits while in the USN was filled with whores and illegal slaves to please sailors and when I went as a tourist then I was treated almost like an equal but not quite. Both times I had a PLA soilder point their version of the AK-107 in my face. I'm not impressed with the mlitary 300 boxes of Metal storm would reduce the military to fertalizer.

you understand nuclear war in terms of today's world, back then Russia had very few atom bombs and China had none. At best, the Russians would have retaliated against western Europe had they done so at all, maybe with a few A-bombs. It would have been a disaster but not the apocalypse. The U.S. could have gotten away with it. As it is, America didn't lose Korea like you said.
