Mmm, I'm pretty sure it's just about love and the risks and adventure you encounter when diving in. When he says come on in, the water is fine, it's more of a metaphor. It's not physical water, he's just saying to give a relationship a chance. As for the poker, I have no idea, I didn't hear that part, but it's possible I missed it. Poker is always about risks and taking chances.

Don't take me wrong, I love Keith Urban, but Radney had true meaning and emotions behind the words of this song, as well as the other Keith Urban cover of Radney's song "Raining on Sunday." Radney wrote those songs based on his real life experiences. I wish Radney got more credit for his talent.
