if u mean carpenter bug then its on your farm, all you need to do is go onto the gathering bugs, and hope you get some (btw they are not that rare.)

u kill so easily -.-.. i used bow to kill , dual swords, heavy bowgun... unsuccessfull... the weapons i used are crafterd.. not the beginner weps... that APE just keep going to other map and healing....

mine battlefield jewels from the volcano, then save and go on a quest in the jungle. Go up the fine from camp and trade the elder the jewel, if you're lucky, you'll get thunderbug juice.

well...I kinda cheaped out when i beat him last night (yay lol) anyway..I brought 3 shock traps and..

I wore the felyne mask because it gives you bomb skill up, and its really easy to make

10x gunpowder

10x large barrel

10x scatterfish

10x small barrel bomb

5x flash bombs (didn't use em though)

I forgot to bring tranq bombs so i just killed him, but what I did...Whenever I was in the same area of him I'd lay down a shock trap. Stand back and wait for him to get trapped in it.

after he gets trapped in it lay down two large barrel bomb+'s and a small barrel bomb, and run away until they explode. Do this four times and then hit him just a few times (I hit him twice in the head with devil slicer after the four bombings...bombings..lol)
