  • how did he skate a 5 minute program???????

  • @2thinkitive It is not a 5 minute program. It's about 4 min 40 seconds. I think the men's program is 4 min 30 seconds +/- 10 seconds.

  • I still cant get over that huge and clean as a whistle quad. He was so powerful yet casual about it which was breathtaking

    あぁ…この才能は…;。;この…飛距離は…;。;

    羽生くん…あなた…どこの星から来たのぉぉぉぉ?;。;

  • Just imagine how big of a FS score he'll get when he skates clean!! Ack!! I am so excited... He is just so adorable. I want to put him in my pocket >.<

  • he reminds me a lot of Johnny Weir

  • @2006arakawafan I can see the Johnny Weir in him also. Not because of his costumes, but he does have that Johnny Weir style in him. He's a joy to watch.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter Exactly. The elegance and creative style. He just needs more power and persuasiveness in his skating and i think that he will be the dude that the other skaters will NOT like to compete against. There are gaps in his choreography that are probably there to give him time to refocus etc. Next season, if he can remain technically proficient and add more efficacy to his presentation, he should be well on his way to a podium finish. I just hope he does not become a premadonna...

  • @2006arakawafan Agree on the last statement. His Jr. World long was so crazy good. +3's on his triple axels.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter

Totally agree with you. His jr world fs last year was wonderful. What impressed me even more was how much he improved after his first year on the junior level. I remember he looked exhausted after his FS at the '09 Jr. Worlds but at the '10 Jr. Worlds he looked as if he could go again. I imagine that he'll be able to take care of his stamina issue he has this season by next season just like he did on the junior level!!! His score here was big too w/so many little mistakes

  • @FTiPrim Yeah that's because he got huge +3's on his triple axels & and the triple axel combination, and +3's on his quad. And his spins are also amazing. He has great speed when he also lands. Those kinds of things help a lot to gain points.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter

According to the protocols he didn't get +3 on his axel at jr.worlds or here. He got a +2 for both his quad and solo axel at 4cc and +1.86 for his axel combo. A shame on the other jumps cause they all got -GOE except for the last 3S and the popped lutz combo. He did get a level 1 and level 2 for one of his elements so if he raises those up he can hopefully get a score like daisuke and kozuka >.<

  • @FTiPrim Really? Because last year's Jr. Worlds he had +3's on his triple axel on his long. He deserves those +3's. Those 3 Axels are ginormous. And yeah if he does a clean long with good spins, he'll get one of the highest scores in Jr. Worlds.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter

I checked the protocols for '10 Jr. Worlds the best he got was a +2 for his axel. Sadly he doesn't get to go to Jr. Worlds this year :( His seasons ended at 4CC. So CONGRATS to him for winning silver!!! Woot!!!

  • @FTiPrim Aww!! He's still age eligible to go though. Japanese Figure skating should send him.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter For +3, the rule stipulates that a skater needs to add an extra dimension to the jump, such as steps leading up to the jump or the Rippon Lutz-type moves (unless, of course, we are talking about you-know-who, in which case you'd get +3s across the board for just standing there, doing nothing...).
