  • So beautiful! The one on the left seems a little more perturbed than his pal!

  • What beautiful, majestic birds. Nice video!

  • Those owls really need to talk over their game plan. The one on the left is fluffing up all huge and the one on the right wants to be skinny. D:

  • 0:21 <3

  • @DemyxFanOfOwls err, 0:18 actually >_>

  • I used to have a barn owl but he died because of cancer or something. ;(

  • The eyes of those owls are beautiful! Magnificent find, and take!

  • i had a owl but it was a eastern screech owl but we don't have him any more!!!! I love him soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was gray, black and white!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone up for a staring contest?

  • OMG! Pretty yellow eyes! ^O^

  • GHOs are soooo awesome.

  • These guys are very cool, but as to the comment about the Raptor Edu Foundation, they do not rehab birds! They are simply an educational facility. I have seen no where stating that they send any funds to rehab centers. (Example-they're taking a rehab center to court right now for using funds from their license plate.) I understand it was their plate, but if rehab centers weren't around, REF wouldn't be either and they don't seem to understand that....

  • REF is not a rehab facility which it discloses on its web site. We are suing a rehab center for violation of our federal copyrights when they stole our license plate proceeds, our design and slogan. This is all plainly disclosed on our web site. We understand the relationship of rehabbers to our mission. What we don't understand is the theft of our property. Maybe that's okay with you. It isn't with us.

  • Beautiful birds....Thank God for places like the Raptor Edu Foundation! Bravo! keep the videos coming its a great educational tool for those who don't understand how smart all birds are!

  • bubo bubo o,o

  • @krolowaobcych Bubo Bubo is an Eagle Owl

  • Thank you for this nice video !

I really looooove these birds !

    :-D

  • kocham sowy

  • Owls are just amazing creatures.

  • You certainly have their attention.

  • Beautiful birds ^^

  • i love how owls are so observatory... they seem to like staring things down until it leaves.

  • Owl 2: "I see someone over thar" O.o

    Owl 1: "Wut? O RLY?" :O

    Owl 1: "Oh?" O_O

    Owl 1: "Wut r j00 doing thar?" >:|

Haha the way they stare and blink is really amusing, I love owls, though sadly I've never gotten the chance to see any personally, let alone get close.

  • I live in England and we have a few owl sanctuaries with beautiful collections of endangered owls. It's a bit sad that they're not in the wild but they are protected, comfortable and healthy at the sanctuaries. You could find out if there are any local to you and go - better than not seeing any at all.

  • United States fish & wildlife laws do not permit unlicensed individuals taking or keeping raptors and wildlife in general. This is for their safety and yours. Enjoy them through binoculars or resources like the Raptor Education Foundation.

  • Well, i will become a licensed individual then.. plus binoculars suck. Would much rather be up close and personal..

  • well create an owl friendly environment on your property, that way they can live free and you can be near them.

  • I only know of one person who has an owl license, and she brings the owl to the clinic she works at each day for educational purposes. She has to deal with stinky owl pellets, crap all over the floor, the owl hiding its unfinished food (she only notices it when it starts to rot and smell bad), hooting all night about 9 months of the year (human-imprinted owls expect humans to hoot back at them, not other owls). Looks like a pain in the rear to me.

  • "getting one" ... its not a toy, u know?

  • seems like alot of criticism and tone directed to soemone who was just expressign appreciationa dn interest in some animals here, dudes...

  • ye.. so what?

Not every "interested" human being is a kind humanbeing, u know? ;)

  • SOOOO CUTE!!!!

  • aaw so cuute

  • i love it when they blink, if that makes any sense at all haha

  • .. and look how soft and smooth their "lashes" seem^^

  • Aww! I love those cute little guys!

  • They are beautiful and fluffy. Where was this taken? They must really trust you and you must provide a wonderful home for them if they continue to come back time and time again. How wonderful.

  • This is from a nest at our facility location in Aurora, CO. You can see this year's family in the Owl Chronicles, which follows a nest much closer than the one from which these young owls came...in fact, one of these "babies" maybe one of the adults breeding this year.

  • Thank you for answering my question so quickly. The owls are just a delight and I can't wait to see the Owl Chronicles. Take care:)

  • owls crack me up at the way they just continue to stare at the camera cute and funny i wonder what they could be thinking

  • "Are you asking for trouble, punk?"

  • i love cats for the same reason. they stare and don't let go. i think some people are like that, probably philosophers

  • It's headed right FOR US!

  • haha they just stare its so cute

  • Incredible. I love owls. Easy to understand why there is so much mysticism about them. They look like aliens trying to communicate through blinking their eyes at you. blink blink...get away from us...blink blink we will be happy to bite you ...blink blink.

  • eu^^euleul eul eul e e e eule!! e e e eu eu eul

    euleeeee

    xDDDDDDDDD

  • Angry but so cccuuutttee!!

  • That's amazing...I have never seen an owl that close...look at those eyes..!!

  • scary..damn the way they look at the camera ....

  • you have been honored with these babies, owls have amazing powers to see in the dark, their night vision is like no other animal or being, their hearing is just as equal. They come in your life to guide you in the dark they are believed to be guides from the other world in many cultures. Dont fear them thank them.

  • What a nice thing to say! I have burrowing owls in my backyard. They had a clutch of 6 babies last year and now it's nesting season again, so I'm waiting patiently. Won't be long now, they have started showing signs that they will soon be parents. Yea! I tell everyone how lucky and honored I am that they allow me to live near them. hehe.

  • This is amazing footage. I am in comparative psychology. It appears you are close to the offspring of these two birds. I wish this video were longer. But near the end you can see the owl on the left getting into attack mode. And these owls are completely capable of doing severe damage to humans. Great video!

  • Wow!! It was kinda scary when they were staring at the camera! And also I know that owls can fly silently- one cannot even hear how they fly- it's amazing!

  • WOW! You are so lucky to have seen these owls! I love, love, love owls but I have never seen any in real life. These are absoiutely beautiful!

  • nice hooters you got there lol

  • Wow, you are one lucky dude. That mama owl woulda been pretty pissed if she found you so close to her babies. They are really cute, though :)

  • Staring contest, eh?

  • I didn't know that owls scratch their heads like cats... o.0

  • all parrots or owls do..

  • I love owls! At first I thought there were three of them. Although I don't have audio, which made me focus on the visual aspects, I could tell they were sleepy. Their eyelids seemed to close more often than normal. Good video!

  • If you are interested in Owls then I would recommend 'One Mans Owl' by Berndt Heinrich. Excellent book, enjoyable read.

  • i also recomend a book to all owl lovers (REALY THIS IS A VERY GOO BOOK)its called "gardians of gahoole"

by cathrin lasky, ask for it at your local book shop it is a very popular book.

also recomended for harry potter fans!!!!

  • They seem to be sizing you up.
