another reason i love ableton: a bunch of different ways to do one thing just a matter of figuring some of them out and then deciding what is best for your style of performance. its that deciding that usually catches me and i end up getting too in depth with those details and i tend to over edit my track.
@INEVOLVE To the left of the editor on the bottom theres two panels, notes and envelopes. If you click edit modulation it selects envelope mode, so you just need to click the button next to "Notes" to get back to it.
@SurfShopRock I made a drum rack previously out of a large pile of random samples and I tweaked a lot of the individual pitches and EQ's for each sample. Sorry I can't really be more specific :/
thanks for this, considering i dont have a midi controller or anything for that. do you know if there is a way to do this with NI massive, without using the lfo performer?
@xxretardo I'm not familiar with massive but you can absolutely do this with any VST where ableton has access to the parameters inside the VST so that they can be modulated. I've noticed that only some VST's have this capability inside ableton.
