Hi Justin! I´ve looked thorugh your vids and doesn´t find anyone tha explanes how you should place you right hand, the pick hand, i relationship to the guitar. It would be really nice if you went throgh that. because i´ve looked around on youtube without any sucsses finding it. Tnx man!
How come i hate my guitar style i sound like metallica and i hate them i like bands like joe satriani and led zeppelin and stuff but i sound like metallica and slayer or something and i hate it what should i do
@mrsuga123 Found a solution i been taking chords and stuff from the bands i listen to and it sounds alot better i think my problem was before all i would do is play power chords and now that im getting better and using more stuff it sounds more like the bands i listen to
As far as how often you should practice, is a complicated question to answer. I practice for 3 hours a day (everyday possible) , atleast when I have 3 hours. Not all at once of course, usually about an hour at a time. Sometimes I practice for 6 hours a day. My hands are fine.
I just loaned one of my guitars to a 15-year old who wanted to learn guitar. I don't have time, or the skill, to teach her. There was no hesitation where to send her. Justin is the best teacher I've encountered on the web or anyplace else. He'll take you from this is a guitar to advanced stuff that someday I hope to learn. After almost 50 years of playing, I'm still learning from Justin.
Wow - I've been practicing for 1/2 - 1 hour each day since I started learning about 3 weeks ago...mainly because I just love it so much. Have some good callouses on my left hand and it doesn't hurt my fingertips anymore.
Awesome videos and lesson plan, Justin - I am learning SO much from you and having a blast!
wow that funny so many thumbs down I'm just joking with you guys you'll be as good as him in 5 five years with hours of practice and to correct myself less than a year I have been playing and in five years shit.
don't worry ppl you'll pick up guitar everyone learns at there own pace
I've been playing for a year I still practice for hours to be as good as I can be and I'm really good I can't do rusty cooley so for all you young kids (I'm 13)go at your own pace unlike my friend listen to Justin if you follow him and you'll be as good as him in 25 years I'll be there shortly =) ha
Hehe, the finger question cracked me up. When I was learning to play for the first time, I got open wounds on the damn fingers. My strings were smeared with blood every time I played for like, the first two months. Now my fingertips are much harder, with very thick skin, so its no longer a problem.
Great start Justin! Really cleared many of the doubts I had about your previous beginner's course. I'll be going over your (new) begginer's course again. :)
younger people learn easier because they do. It's something inside the mind of all humans. It's just the way the human mind works and grows. Same reason why languages stick easier while younger.
I think all your stage one videos were clear and helpful, wish I had had them when I first started but I am sure they will greatly help lots of people. Well done Justin.
I've been practicing for 3 hours now....
Maybe it's that "underage advantage?
