  • To get to your damper what you do is hold the silver flood gate knob with a pair of channel locks (lightly) and undo the 2.5mm (i think) bolt on the top of the silver flood gate ajuster. Then you can remove this, take the blue compression knob off as shown in the video and you can now throw a 24mm socket on there.

    Enjoy

  • so the oil in the lower fork legs is to lube the stanchion seals right? this is where we can add mobil one?

  • @latin0flavor you can put in Mobil one if you want but that's not the right grade or type of oil...use proper suspension fluid available from your local motocross dealer at a good price....

  • finally did it today, managed to grind down and old 24mm spanner to fit on the mission control

Thanks for all the help blumpher!

  • @jools182 superb!

all readyr fro the winterrrrrrrrrrr now then!!!

  • I am finding the space beneath the compression knob too narrow to fit a wrench in to unscrew that top cap. Any thoughs, other than going out and buying new wrech?

  • @HeathDamienHuffman hmmm... that adjustable did it for me!

  • @blumpher I have the same problem, cant get the adjustable underneath, any idea what size that nut is?

  • @jools182 22/24 mm?

you could measure across the flats with a ruler to confirm as I don't have acces to the forks as they were someone else's

  • is this the air or coil version?

  • @jools182 it's the coil version...you can see the coil spring being taken out around the 2 mins mark....
