wow...doesnt really work in a sport as slow as baseball in a half empty stadium sry. baseball is only a decent sport because of about 3 or 4 teams that actually draw fans...yankees, red sox, dodgers and cubs. maybe the cards

@giantsfan729 A half empty baseball stadium is still 20-25K. It does work in baseball because baseball is a DRAMATIC sport. In football, if you're down by 2 touchdowns with 10 seconds left, the game is over. In hockey if you're down by 4 in even the first period, it's over. In basketball, if you're down by 5 with 2 seconds left, it's over.

@Anglefan12 oh yeah soooooo dramatic. your telling me that baseball, with a 162 game regular season is more dramatic than college football and NFL seasons being 12 and 16 games, respectively? in football, every game matters. in baseball, you might as well turn your tv's off until the last two weeks of september, when the games are actually played like they have implications.

@giantsfan729 all I'm saying is it's actually physically possible. the other team has the ball with a minute 30 left in football with a fresh set of downs, they can kneel three times and it's over. What I mean by baseball being more dramatic is that it can be the first inning and have drama. Let's say chris carpenter is on the mound, first inning, one out, bases loaded. If you get to him early, you can win, if he gets out of this inning, that's probably your best chance.

@giantsfan729 College football isn't dramatic at ALL because of the shitty Bullshit championship series. the NFL season is more dramatic as far as wins/losses, but individual games not so much.

also, in baseball, April games count just as much as September. I can see how it's hard to get into games early on in baseball, but baseball is a diverse sport. It can be a picnic type of atmosphere or insane (think a late inning rally in the playoffs). Also, football doesn't translate live.

@giantsfan729 Baseball feels the same live as on TV. if you know the intricacies of baseball, it's the most rewarding sport. Football compares to baseball in that aspect I think. Soccer is boring as fuck because you either score or you don't, there's not a lot of little things to watch, in basketball you dribble, pass, shoot, it's fast pace, but it's repetitive.
