Wouldn't really have made sense for Mitchell to be scared-he's a vampire, and like he told the armed response squad in Series 3, he could kill them all, so I doubt he'd be too frightened by the presence of a burglar heh. Even so, it was a funny scene

@megan130 Yeah. I think Aidan just wanted to move on to movies instead of just this tv show. But I think Being Human will go downhill without him. And I think Mitchell could have found a blood donor to help him feed on a regular basis. Either that or he could feed on murders/rapists/pedophiles and other evil people. it felt like Mitchell just gave up and his friends also gave up on him.

It's just utterly bizzare to me that they originally had two different actors for the pilot of the three main characters. It seems like a completely different show now. I wonder what it was like for russell tovey to go back and shoot that scene again with two different people--but the same lines and actions. weird.

I love how Mitchell's vampirism makes him really aware of other supernatural beings. Like, he immediately knew Annie was a ghost, and he knew when George had turned Nina. I think it adds something unique to the trio somehow. I don't know! It's just what I think :)

I guess they wanted to mirror the last episode of Season 1, which also featured a flashback. Since that one was of George meeting Mitchell, it would seem to be appropriate for this one to be the scene where Annie meets the boys. Even though the tone of Ep. 8 was very dark, this scene might still have worked, as a sort of contrast.

This is the pilot script without the originals. I understand why they deleted it (Deja vu?) but you compare this scene with the originals and You can see why they needed replacing.

Especially Guy Flanagan, who basically summed this scene up with about as much enthusiasm as someone finding gum under the table in a library.

This was so one of my favorite scenes in the pilot. It was great to see it redone with the new cast for the show. @starsupinthesky - The costumes are pretty much a match for the pilot ep. Sunglasses and scarf were stolen from Guy's wardrobe from the piolt. :)

I lol'd so hard at Mitchell's sunglasses--they're hilarious!!! Though why wasn't he wearing the same ones that he wore all through Season One? Would've made the continuity better. Apart from the fact that it was a bit wierd seeing the REAL M, G and A in this pilot scene when I'm used to the other actors, this was fab. Thank you again for posting BBC!!! It took me entirely too long to realize this was the first time with Aidan. Leonora, on the other hand, stood out right away. I love how Leonora changed the chemistry of the series, but this scene still seems wrong without Andrea and her accent.  That said, I love having the opportunity to compare.
