The Mexico people who is not citizens of usa also is not recognized by the federal government. the people trying to stop recognigtion of the native people is the corporate federal tribes (not all but alot), if there was a middle ground then these two groups could work together.

Federal tribes have close ties to the same government that is pushing for the deportation of undocumented mexico people. I just looked at what the Federal cherokee nation of oaklahoma (A REAL tribe) website states that tribes such as the mattaponi (state recognized) is just heritage groups only. States are not even allowed to give recognigtion to any indian people, So Yien, your part of a heritage group, not a ACTUAL tribe. I also checked the census records which showed the Mattaponi people as WHITE and a few as BLACK.

What is important, is that this is firmly established of who was here first. It shouldn't even be a question.
