do you people actually read the bible? Matthew 1:1–17 Luke 3:23-38 both genealogies mention SHEALTIEL SON OF JECHONIA! even then it mentions NATAN! , IT MENTIONS SHEALTIEL! its there it right freaking THERE!
Great video! Joseph's tribal name covered his wife and son(who was not an illegitimate child thus even the angels told Joseph not to divorce her). However Joseph's bloodline was cursed by Jechonia thus if his child were to be Messiah his child would have to be NOT ONLY of his tribe, Judah, but also of another BLOOD of David and Mary was so. Jesus then is THE Son of God(God's body), a son of Adam(human), a legitimate son of Abraham(Jewish), and a CHOSEN son of David(heir to the throne).
@classicrockrockz Line of Kings or bloodline they should have the same genealogy,
how can he be from the line of King Solomon in Mathew and in Luke he is from Nathan Descended who is Solomon brother. it's like say the you are son of your father and your uncle at same time, there is no way!
It's refreshing when people read the scriptures in the proper context. All too many read them as if they were "English Books" but they were NOT. And also, they read them according to their OWN understanding and not of the Understanding of those that had written it.
Jesus freed us from the comdemnation of the law. We are not free from its requirements. If the law could be done away with there would be no need for God to come to this planet as a man and die for us.
Jesus said, It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for my Word to fail. Until heaven and earth pass away not one dot or crossing of a t of the law will disappear.
Both covenants were made to Israel. You must become a Jew(a son of Abraham) to be saved.
According to biblical tradition accepted by the Catholics Joachim is the father of Mary. It is in the apocryphal book of James. He has been canonised; Saint Joachim. It is also recorded in the Koran. This is not confirmed in the Bible - but then the bible doesn't confirm He-Li as the father, either. It all seems a bit of a flimsy explanation...
@allen8iluminada, We don't actually know if Matthew the tax collector wrote the Gospel of Matthew. Church tradition just ascribes the Gospel of Matthew to the Tax collector of the same name.
Also, saying that Luke's mistake is a "trick of Satan" is just as credible as saying the entire bible is a trick of Satan.
Just another straw man argument, riddled with more questions.
You talk semantics. OK, question: what is the literal translation of Lucifer, from Biblical Greek into English? A: The light barer. And in further B.G. to E. translation, the word Light also means; Enlightenment, or Truth.
So, biblically speaking, from the scriptures of the High Priests, Lucifer is simply the person, or anyone, who threatens to spread non-biblical truth and/or enlightenment to an individual, or group of people.
Where are you getting your information from? Why wouldn't the Bible have referred to one of the genealogies as one from Mary and then the other from Joseph? Even if you are right, it's still confusing, like other parts of the Bible. Anyway, tell the other M. that I said hi.
The eternal commandments do stand forever, and while men have used Paul's words to create a lie as Peter saw happening in his day (2Peter 3:16-17) we are to follow Messiah NOT man.
Messiah said heaven AND EARTH would pass first before one of the least. He said pray that our flight NOT take part on a SABBATH (why, if it was to be "nailed to the cross"). The rich man asked Him how to inherit the kingdom and Messiah said to "Obey the Law".
The grace is the fact that we are no longer under the "Curse of the Law"... The curse is death for breaking it. The Messiah took this curse away that we could obey in truth without the curse on our head.
Read in 2John how he tells the lady to KEEP the Law they had from "The Beginning".
The mystery of lawlessness is alive and has deceived the entire world as it says in Revelation. Wake up brothers!
I could be looking at this wrong, but surely, what difference would it make if Jehoiachin's line was cursed or not. I mean, Joseph wasn't Jesus' real father either way, so what was there to frustrate?
@mattheistt Curses pass as "the sins of the fathers", so Jesus only inherits from his true Father in Heaven, who is without sin. But, as was tradition, Jesus was the son of Joseph, the husband of his mother, so he had legal right to the throne.
To be honest, I don't even know why the geneology of Joseph is mentioned. What does it matter?

I have my own theory. The book of Matthew is a line of kings and rulers while the book of Luke is a bloodline (either of Joseph or Mary)

Matthew is a hand-picked DISCIPLE and eyewitness of the Messiah,.
Luke is NOT hand-picked disciple; he is just re-telling the story.
So, we have to go with the Geneology of MATTHEW!
This is a trick of satan to CONFUSE the believers. Period.

In order to accept half of your explanation, one MUST first accept the idea of an immaculate conception.

Ugh! Please adjust your frame rate or whatever it is... your video gave me a headache :-(
2Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi... "(Luke 3:23-24)
If this is a genealogy of Mary, why is she excluded?
Was Heli the father of Mary?
Where is confirmation of this to be found in the bible?
SAHBfan 1 year ago
@SAHBfan A demon will do that... in an effort to take you away from the Word, from truth.

being virgin-born disqualifies someone from being Moshiach, since Moshiach must be from the loins of David.
