This could really easily be ported to the Wii (and soon with the PS3's waggle wand thing); nunchuck and C/Z button to move and shoot, pointer + B/A button to pick up/move/place parts, d-pad for zoom.
make multiplayer were we can fight eachother but make it were you can buy parts from store and if you kill someone else theres cop type ships that will chase you *and law is you status as crimanal the more * the more cops then MABY ill pay ^.^
epic game includes space fighting and creating your own space ships, how hard is it ffs*, can't someone with a large development team decide to pull one of these off with even more depth? hell why not try it in a 3-d plane
Placing things in the right spot is difficult anyway.
Not really as thruster placement affects how easily you can move in certain directions. e.g. putting side-facing thruster further away from the centre-of-mass allows you to spin faster.
You wouldn't move with analog sticks anyway, you'd use the D-Pad although I admit you'd lose side ways thrusting ability this way.
@FarbsMcFarbs: awesome music. I had to go download it right away. I am now putting stuff together in Illustrator, and it feels a bit like playing Captain Forever, 'cept nobody is shooting at me!
ever play Escape Velocity Nova? kinda the same sort of game, not art wise at all, this is very geometry wars atari retro cool, EVN is like real ships, kinda older game, but it was fun enough...
Man, you people should actually *read* the information. This game IS free. This is the free version. You can basically play it early by pre-ordering the extra-awesome version for $15 bucks. When that comes out, this one goes publicly free, and that one becomes $20 to buy. I've pre-ordered, and it is awesome.
This game does look very interesting, but fun as well. I am just wondering if it is worth paying the $15 or waiting for the public release.. Either way I can not wait ti play it.
Press C to change the background from the pilot, to your camera to see yourself as you play XD

Analog Sticks?
Geometry Wars?

what about attaching parts?
scott794 2 years ago
Little cursor on screen controlled with right thumbstick. Press left trigger to grab. Simples
Guy who made this should so put this on xbox live arcade. He'd make so much money.

placing it in the right spot in the heat of action would be a pain. plus, moving with the analog defeats thruster placement

Best indie game I have purchased. Love Captain Successor even more. I still suck at this game though, but getting better.

Man, I feel so full of fail xD
I dismembered all parts of a Peacekeeper but couldn't kill his module because his buddy came out of nowhere and destroyed me.
I wanna record but FRAPS doesn't pick up the flash D:

I love the simplistic design. Any plans for Xbox Live? I would buy it if it was around 10€

tumiki fighters by kenta cho. Very cool, check it out. This is kind of remake, just with less chaos and more control. Which is not only bad...

This music by Andrew Leys, is it featured in the game itself?
If so I think I'd like to buy my way in.
Grimspoon 2 years ago
Sadly no, Andrew's music doesn't yet feature in the game. I'll see if I can hook that up though.
The good news is the full four minute version of this track is almost ready. I suspect I'll be posting it online for him this comping Monday.

the music is now available for download - check the video description for a link. Enjoy!

I'll talk to Andrew (the musician) and see if he wants to release the full 4:30 length track as an mp3.

The music reminds me of Spencer Nilsen's work for Ecco II.

There's really no need to be denigrate it. I like a lot of types of games, and this intrigues me.
