  • Press C to change the background from the pilot, to your camera to see yourself as you play XD

  • Looks like Warning Forever only with building options NICE!

  • a great indie game

  • This could really easily be ported to the Wii (and soon with the PS3's waggle wand thing); nunchuck and C/Z button to move and shoot, pointer + B/A button to pick up/move/place parts, d-pad for zoom.

  • This is brilliant. Like Asteroids, only fun.

  • how to play this free? The site requires a $20 registration.

  • @britoca u dont need to register -.-

  • only for "pro version", normal version is free and good enough imho

  • make multiplayer were we can fight eachother but make it were you can buy parts from store and if you kill someone else theres cop type ships that will chase you *and law is you status as crimanal the more * the more cops then MABY ill pay ^.^

  • epic game includes space fighting and creating your own space ships, how hard is it ffs*, can't someone with a large development team decide to pull one of these off with even more depth? hell why not try it in a 3-d plane

    *not shitting on your game

  • If you think about these games would be kinda of hard to put on consoles becasue it has to use mouse and movement keys

  • @scott794

    Analog Sticks?

    Geometry Wars?

  • what about attaching parts?

  • Little cursor on screen controlled with right thumbstick. Press left trigger to grab. Simples

Guy who made this should so put this on xbox live arcade. He'd make so much money.

  • placing it in the right spot in the heat of action would be a pain. plus, moving with the analog defeats thruster placement

  • Placing things in the right spot is difficult anyway.

Not really as thruster placement affects how easily you can move in certain directions. e.g. putting side-facing thruster further away from the centre-of-mass allows you to spin faster.

You wouldn't move with analog sticks anyway, you'd use the D-Pad although I admit you'd lose side ways thrusting ability this way.

  • Best indie game I have purchased. Love Captain Successor even more. I still suck at this game though, but getting better.

  • Man, I feel so full of fail xD

I dismembered all parts of a Peacekeeper but couldn't kill his module because his buddy came out of nowhere and destroyed me.

I wanna record but FRAPS doesn't pick up the flash D:

  • @FarbsMcFarbs: awesome music. I had to go download it right away. I am now putting stuff together in Illustrator, and it feels a bit like playing Captain Forever, 'cept nobody is shooting at me!

  • Kinda has the same concept of flOw on the PS3 and PSP.

  • ever play Escape Velocity Nova? kinda the same sort of game, not art wise at all, this is very geometry wars atari retro cool, EVN is like real ships, kinda older game, but it was fun enough...

  • not sure if i undrestand upon first look, but it sure is interesting...

  • I love the simplistic design. Any plans for Xbox Live? I would buy it if it was around 10€

  • tumiki fighters by kenta cho. Very cool, check it out. This is kind of remake, just with less chaos and more control. Which is not only bad...

  • This... is... AMAZING

  • Make this into an xbox game, I will love you

  • This music by Andrew Leys, is it featured in the game itself?

If so I think I'd like to buy my way in.

  • Sadly no, Andrew's music doesn't yet feature in the game. I'll see if I can hook that up though.

The good news is the full four minute version of this track is almost ready. I suspect I'll be posting it online for him this comping Monday.

  • the music is now available for download - check the video description for a link. Enjoy!

  • Yay! Thank you for uploading the music, Farbs, and thank you for making it, Andrew. May Wendy Carlos always smile on you. :)

  • Looks very nice, but I can't help but wonder...

What the hell is that face that keeps appearing?

  • YOUR COMPUTER IS HAUNTED BY A GHOST

  • I believe you're seeing the pilot reflected in the screen.

  • I'll talk to Andrew (the musician) and see if he wants to release the full 4:30 length track as an mp3.

  • Got my finger crossed. I can't stop listening to this little music gem.

  • "Finger crossed"? Geeze, I guess I played Canabalt a bit too much. ;)

  • wait farbs, did you make canabalt? I LOVE THAT GAME

  • i like what i see; is it being released for the vectrex as well? :-D

  • Where can I get the music?

  • Man, you people should actually *read* the information. This game IS free. This is the free version. You can basically play it early by pre-ordering the extra-awesome version for $15 bucks. When that comes out, this one goes publicly free, and that one becomes $20 to buy. I've pre-ordered, and it is awesome.

  • I love the music, and the broken heart.

The music reminds me of Spencer Nilsen's work for Ecco II.

  • "Play it online here:"

Um, yeah, you mean "play it online after you pay".

  • Where was it stated that it was free?

  • Your game looks and sounds great

  • Best. Game. Ever.

  • Game is genius. Hard not to fall in love with it. Gladly paid 15 bucks.

  • I WOULD SUPPORT YOU... If I wasn't already gambling on another game. Oh well!

  • I would. That's really all I can say.

There's really no need to be denigrate it. I like a lot of types of games, and this intrigues me.

  • This game does look very interesting, but fun as well. I am just wondering if it is worth paying the $15 or waiting for the public release.. Either way I can not wait ti play it.
