Pikmin 2 -Titan Dweevil [[ Phase 1 ]]

i have never been able to defeat this boss without cheat codes it litteraly takes me about a good 4-9 hours without breaks and thats if i use all my pikmin with inifnite pink spray non stop no breaks nothing this boss probable goes down in history as the hardest one on a gamecube (emphasis on gc because the hardest one ever is the one from that japanese arcade game) and im still trying to beat this boss with action replay ... not much luck on that part

i heard of this boss, and the size of the cave, and the amount of pikmin needed to beat him, so i just went into the cave with a full army (more yellows) and ran past everything, beat the titan dweevil, got the treasures then went back to the cave and left after every few treasures to avoid trouble (like the submerged castle waterwraith massacre)

im sure alot of you noticed this but im ganna tell you all anyway -_- when the titan dweevil is readying a weapon,his body turns the color of the pikmin immune to the attack(with the exception of the comedy bomb,in which case he turns purple not white) e.g.:blue:monster pump,red:flare cannon,yellow:shock therapist,purple:comedy bomb.

I had only 1 purple and 20 red potions and I beat that thing, but I only had 5 pikmin. One of each color. Next time I go back down there for training, I'll know how to beat it now. This is all thanks to you. I never knew purple potions worked on bosses.

I love this game. But it's actually a lot harder than it looks - and if you get into a boss without a strategy, you and your pikmin are all dead meat. Like just now, when I tried to attack a giant caterpillar and it just rolled over my entire 100-man army. 0_o

you just have to guess. there isnt a health bar so it's really difficult, but the weapons start smoking when they are close to falling off

I think the huge metal spider guy is way tougher than this pushover, just use your yellow pikmin to avoid his electricity and just call your pikmin to avoid everything else.

Also, I destroyed the electricity thing on the titan dweevil first so I can use all of my pikmin instead of using yellow all the time.

What I did at the final boss is that I just used yellow pikmin instead of other pikmin becuase electricity can kill pikmin in one hit, but the others you can just dodge or just call them. :P

Flare Cannon is annoying

I restarted 3 times because it hit me, set my pikmen on fire, and then hit me before a could save my pikmen and all but 10 died.

Thee comedy bomb was just annoying, i had 3 white pikmen and if i lost 3 pikmen i wouldnt be able to get the treasure.

Monster pump was the easiest but with it i couldnt leave pikmen outside the arena for fear thay would get hit.

Shock Thearapist sometimes goes out of the arena so i had to take that out.

Why didn't you just use Yellows through the entire fight? o-o It's much easier that way, since they can reach all the way up to the treasures even when the Titan Dweevil is moving. Plus, they're immune to its most attack attack (the Shock Therapist), so you can leave that until last. Just take of his treasures in this order: Monster Pump, Flare Cannon, Comedy Bomb, Shock Therapist. Titan Dweevil goes down pretty easily if you do that. (Or, at least, it does for me.)

The weapons get more defence if you do that, making it HARDER.

we prepared a save especially for this so that if we get any requests for titan dweevil we can just reset it and go back on that save. it makes life simpler! and saves a lot of time.x

i have this game and this boss is fairly easy to beat. i recommend taking out the shocker first however, then bring your whole army down into the area and destroy it, but keep your finger ready on the "b" button when it launches the water balls
