Australia has talked about a fast train for years to run from Sydney in New South Wales to Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory.

It will simply never happen it would cost much money for the state and federal govt.

allthough TGV isn't the fastest train in the world anymore :(

the MagLev in Japan beat it, it uses magnets to power it and it flies so there's no friction

@rbnoremac maglev has wheels, but when it gets to a certain speed, they retract

@xjabi In fact, MagLev is not considered as a "train" cuz it doesn't use a "Rail"...

But i saw some vids of it, it's impressive.
