  • Fantastic and Beautiful. :D

  • if you signed a song called baby love child by pizzicato five it would make my year

  • It pretty. I love your experisson but I was expecting more like asl. I look many video there wasn't alot of em do asl :/

But good jobs. Next time you should put like Set Fire To The Rain-ESL. Bc many people been complain they thought it was actually asl..

  • This is not ASL, this is Signed English. I applaud your version, but ASL is a visual language that does not follow English word order, but good job.

  • oh wowwssssssssssss. you are too cooool. I am Deaf and your signing is just too purely awesome. It is just as i like it, creative, imagination, and educational all in one package. Keep up a good work. =)

  • I just registered for an ASL-101 course. Your video is so beautiful and has me so truly inspired. Thank you.

  • @RussDOGG285 you do realize she isnt the one who interpreted this right you dumb bitch. it says right in the description that she didnt do it. and soph1951 says in her description of this video that she signs more exact english than asl so stfu.

  • beautiful!

  • @mermanwings OMFG you stupid bitch thats not ASL you stupic cunt thats ESL your using English sign language and you cant set rain on fire you cunt thats not even what the song means i fucking hate people like you cunt

  • Amazing (:

  • if you like this, go watch some of her other songs...her songs are under soph1951. she signs more exact english than als

  • I love this! I watched it like 20 times and I finally learned how to sign this song(:

  • i could not take my eyes off of you. it was beautiful

  • I like the "improvements" you did to her video. I just enjoy watching her and this was a nice touch

  • wow, that was amaising, i take a sign language class, but i cant do that, keep it up, you are amaizing

  • Hi again. What software do you use for the visual special effects? Do you use PC or Apple?

  • I like clip =)

  • This is PSE not ASL but its good signed english.

  • this video made me realize how sad it would be not to be able to hear the beauty of this song. I take my hearing ability for granted.

  • is it my eyes or is this video a little blurry?

  • I hate this song, but you just made it beautiful. Amazing.

  • Interpreting the lyrics exact as possible is not only respectful to the artist, it delievers a message the deaf haven't heard. Excellent interpretation!

  • Nice, I enjoy watching your video's :0)

  • This is another sign word matching video, NOT ASL! what does "set fire to the rain" mean? a Deaf person wouldn't understand this at all. think of the point and how you can make a clear picture with this song. usually these kinds of pop songs have one singular simple point that you can latch onto and make it your own. The camera work and editing effects are cool, but more time should be spent going for stronger visual ASL

  • Signed speech, i would say, but beautiful anyway. And nice to see not-so-young beautiful woman signing a song.

  • Nice signing though it is not really ASL. Good emotion though, lovely video. The stuff in the background is a bit distracting though.

  • This video is in SEE, not in ASL at all. ASL students, although this is a great transliteration sample of this song, it isn't in ASL grammar or form at all. But that doesn't take away from how well this is signed.(:

  • @antoniusmax Yea... I don't get why she named it ASL version... could have just put "Sign Language version" Or "English Syntax of ASL" ? Lol

  • @chappiejen Agreed

  • Why did you call this ASL? Isn't ASL more about imagery instead of word for word? This is more SEE sign or ESL...

  • WOW I AM LEARNING SIGN LANGUAGE AND I LOVE ADELE. THIS VIDEO IS EPICALLY AMAZING :D <3

  • It's fascinating! Amazing! *.*

  • Very pretty. Would love to see you do an ASL version.

  • You're so great! 8^)

  • I like how u designed on ur video, like design/smoke/the way u moved closer/back,etc...Awesome...I like the way u signed the song...

  • i can speak and hear. but it's so impressing how u do that. my cousins are the same way.. and i got so much respect. i want to learn this language. It's so special. Thanks for uploading this.

  • GOOD JOB LOVE IT,,, GOOD VIDEO W EFFECTS

  • Your signs are beautiful. However, having said this It would be easier for your followers to understand you if you would limit the special effect. While they are pretty it makes it harder to see your hands and as we all know that is the number one thing that ASL students watch. I am a CODA and have only positive things to say about your skills but pls take into consideration the suggestions I gave.

  • @wulfchick1314 O don't think Soph herself usually does, if you go to her profile she has all of her videos. :)

  • so amazing

  • i love this!! Could i use this for my ASL class? thanks:)

  • @KatieASL4Life the only bad thing baout using songs from youtube...different places sign signs different....just gloss it yourself dude...one of my friends failed his level 2 song test because he copppied everything from youtube

  • @Purekill500 i completely understand that. but im just learning, so it helps me get to now the signs then i gloss it myself. i just watch these so i can get a basic idea of the signs...

  • @KatieASL4Life i see..but as i said different places sign signs differently, but gl, im only lvl 2 and i still dont know alot..but i know enough to keep conversations with deaf people haha :d

  • Awesome :~} and sooooo Beautiful :~}

  • Great signing! The only negative is that your hands are not fully clear as they are blurry. This is very important that they are clear. Keep up the great work!

  • hi soph!!! im currently studying bsl level 2 and im doing this song as part of my assessment, i really love this version you have done although its asl its close enough for me to practice using your great emotion in this song... love it... thank you so much x

  • wow soph this is amazing I just love it... whoa..

  • The song is about pouring rain and she used the sign as "pouring" correctly. It made perfectly sense to me. Good Job,Soph! :-)

  • @bttb34 it good n all but its super english...... there is NO IT in ASL

  • ugh, this is beautiful. i loved it. i think i loved your emotion the most because the signs were clear and well-done - that was obvious - but your emotional commitment to the piece really made it. bravo.

  • this was interesting...one thing that didn't make sense was your "pour" sign...confusing, what are you pouring?

  • @stupidsmartperson The song has the word "pour" in it at the exact time she makes the sign... lol. . . that's why.

  • @SthDvs2012 but the song isn't using pour in that way, it's saying "rain harder"...in ASL it doesn't make sense to use the sign pour there

  • @stupidsmartperson The rendering in this video is not really full ASL but more of that mix you see a lot. Regardless of how much sense it may or may not make, some native Deaf ASL users who are highly skilled signers do use that sign 'pour' for a downpour.

  • @stupidsmartperson But I do agree that even though it is acceptable ASL (and even the preferred sign in some contexts), in this particular context it wouldn't be preferable to use that sign 'pour'. An inflected sign 'rain' would work much better. But then again, what does it mean that it is raining? Or are we painting a picture to express the mood/emotion? Something else to consider if we are analyzing this rendering.

  • @stupidsmartperson its an idiom in ASL to show "raining cats and dogs"...

  • Omg!!! I love it!!! Thanks for sharing this! You're truly amazing!

  • This is amazing!!! Great emotion!

  • OMG!!! you did such a WONDERFUL job doing this.....thank you so very much...am gunna share this on my facebook wall...again...thank you for your friendship
