Well I do agree with you that the front ONLY looks like an Altezza. I did not know or, check that you had previously posted that in a comment. Sorry. I never disagreed that the back end clearly matches an Evo 5 though either. I do know that the mirage was a 2 door and four door, and that there were Evo kits made for them. They look like nice. I've seen them before. That said I guess this car maybe does more/less resemble an Evo 5-6. Btw I know shit loads about Mitsubishi products/cars/engines.

Yeah man I'm a huge Mitsu fan!!! My Talon user pic is my first car. I love it to death and will easily keep it till I die. I'm waitin till after college so I can mod the hell out of it. Although the Evo 3 is my favorite Mitsu made car of all time. Plus its essentially got the same engine as my Talon does, the 4G63.

4g63 all the way! my favorite is the Evo 6 thats why i got mine! this car was originally a 01 mirage ES its one of the few in the U.S. that has been FULLY converted to a VI from the 4g the 5 speed the suspension, drive-train, body everything and its by far my favorite! ive owned a 97Galant vr4 it was very fast but the engine wasnt strong even when changed all the internals plus not my type too big for my liking. hoping to get a 2010 WW Evo X MR Touring this year and then have some fun modding =]

Nice I have never seen any one go that far with a mirage, but I guess since importing is such a pain that would be a good idea to fully swap everything. Very nice. Good luck getting the Evo MR Touring model also. I'm just wondering, but isn't the Touring model Evo the one that has the duck tail type spoiler and the paddle shifted auto trans?

oh yeah importing is too much hassle only worth it on like a skyline or something VERY pricey. and the 2010 Touring model doesnt have a spoiler at all it only has a little lip which in my opinion looks a bit better and yes it has paddle shifters. all X MR's come with paddle shifters GSR's are 5 speed they should be 6 tho if they were i would go GSR instead of MR but then again MR has more options and better packages. im either getting a 2010 WW X Touring or a lexus ISF ill rather stay mitsu tho!

the sultan rs is closest to the mitsubishi evo 6 the back lights are almost the same but the front lights are i think from a lexus is 200, the engine is a v6 3.5 turbo with dump valvle and the turbo makes it whistle and the dump valve makes the pphhhhhsssssssss noice from the dump valve releasing air from the turbo for maximum boost trust me i know im a car FREAK

Blow off valves aren't for "maximum boost". They are there to protect turbos from compressor surge, which is boost reversing back at the compressor wheel when the throttle is quickly closed (if no BOV is present).

The Sultan RS is more closely related to a Lexus IS300 or Toyota Altezza. The body is nearly exact is size, shape, and look. @comandercool101 this is not based off an Evo 5 because it way too big to be one, but yes the taillights, wing, and wheel arches are similar.

wow this is old and if you knew how to read you would see that i did say the front is of an IS300 while the rear is an evo 5. and its not too big to be an evo 5. i own a 6 basically same thing other than the bumpers/body kit. and if you knew anything about mitsubishi you would know the evo 4,5,6 were based on the american version mistubishi mirage. the mirage comes in 2 door and 4 door i owned a 4 door but have seen plenty of 2 doors with a evo 5 body kit. and it looks exactly like this "sultan"

@gazovbolton07 actually its not releasing air from the turbo for maximum boost....what the blow off valve is doing is blowing off (sometimes to atmosphere but more often recirculating) the boost pressure built up in the intake when you let off the throttle. It does this because when you let off the throttle it closes the throttle plate (continued)

There would be pressure spikes in the intake piping which would be forced back towards the turbo causing compressor surge possibly damaging/wearing out your turbo and or engine faster. How do i know?
