@MrBirdchild I have a question, apart from the fact he stated it was a reproduction, how can you tell just from looking at this video whether the helmet is a genuine or a repro? It does look quite convincing just from the vid, some repros today are floorless, he's right about the stuff coming from china, some of it just looks way too shabby to be original, you don't even need to touch it, you can see it's fake. But just from this video, what is the obvious sign it's a repro?

@Dassault354 obious signs of a repro, freaky looking spit pins, frest paint frest wire, new liner and chinstrap

just a few things most originals have no liner or the liners are well used, paints worn off, decals barely visible

The camouflage art work on the helmet represents that the soldier was a fallschirmjager, one of the elite. You are a lucky guy to won this one

@bullygram the helmet itself means it is a fallsshirmjager helmet, that is the style they wore,no rim, the camoflage pattern states that it is probally  from the italian campaign. doesn't really matter though because it's a fake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metal Mike begins this video by telling us that he is very poor. He then asks an outrageous price for a German helmet a.k.a. as a "Stahlhelm" that he says is a reproduction. Germany had over three million soldiers during World War Two. Where do three million helmets go? Melted down to make Volkswagens? Maybe. But enough survived to bring down the cost to three hundred dollars for an original World War Two stahlhelm. A little more for a Stahlhelm with SS markings on it.

I've got an Original,german paratroopers / fallschirmjager /helmet in my collection. I purchased it on a Military Auction in Germany for more than 1000$.

This repro is HOT but the decals and the paint job is to new :)

My step dad Once told me,And I always Enjoyed the quote. A Man Can Put Any Price on it. But its only worth whats in your hand . I orginally paid 250.00 for it. So it wasnt so bad. the one good thing i was able to fill the fridge with food for my Kids. and a pay a bill or two. And also have a little extra cash in y pocket to hunt down some other treasures. J But Dont get me wrong i agree 100% with what you say.
