Ha my friend said the 360 is a 5.7 haha it's 5.9, don't ever get 360 it sucks get 318 it only has 5 less hp than the 360 and only 10 ft of torque

@ApleJuth Cold air intake will help wonder's. Also try a chip for the motor as well. Mine is a 2008 Silverado, and I added a cold air intake& Bully Dig tuner and she runs like a raped date now. I know you can get chips for late model truck's, Don't know if the Tuner's like I have are made for that year.

no do not buy a chip thats stupid as hell, all that does is trick your engine into having HP when it realy dont and ends up to damages later on, if you want true HP get a throttle body high performance valves 25 horse injecters and a PCM upgrade and true dual excaust and a pair of headers. your truck will be badass

@gtocin87 It's not lowered. It's sitting on 32 in tires. In fact mines higher than most that I've seen. I can pull up to some 4x4 chevy's and it sits higher.

@dodge99360 mine sat higher, it had the 17s on it but with the bigger rim. not exactly sure what it had, but i know for a fact it sat higher then any other ford or chevy, i was always looking inline with the top of their roof, until i reaised my seat, then i was looking clear over them. and by the way, what have you done to your exhaust system? i not have an 03 dodge ram with the 5.9L and i want it to sound real mean.

5.2 doesn't really suck, if you have the right year....The 5.2 1998 - 2003 kinda sucked, because it has a lot of restrictive emissions stuff (200-225 hp max). The older ones from 1990 - 1997 had less of it, so hp was between 230-235 (very close to the 5.9's 245 hp for a much smaller engine. The best 318's are from the 50's and 60's though, some had 4 barrel 350 hp and around 400lb torque stock.

318 and 360 was offered in all the trucks from 94-01 and some 02 models

You're thinking of the LA 360, which is what the Magnum series motors replaced.

yeah sounds like your plenums gone. is there pooling oil when you look down into the intake? Thats another sure sign of a blown plenum gasket. look up hughes intakes on the internet and it'll show you what to get. i had someone fix it for me so i couldn't tell you how to fix it yourself

lol i like that comment dont push those engines to hard man trust me dodges have bad auto transmissions after 150k not bad engines. also i know a mechanic who said he hrdly ever works on dodge engines cause there so tuff he never gets any in. nice sounding truck man.

haha yeah these engines are built like tanks. only problems with them are the plenum gaskets like to break, but there is a permanent fix that i've already done, and the heads like to crack.

i use my truck mostley for pulling my horse trailer so im getting around 11 or 12 highway but i have heard of people with these trucks getting 17 or 18 if you dont have a lead foot.

if it did it's not enough to feel. just like adding a performance muffler. you gain like 2 or 3 hp. so in essance if i take off the muffler completely i lose 2 or 3. are you really gonna feel that?? and i actually gained mpg's so i think its a win for me.

why do dodge trucks have that flappy sound in the exhaust? Listen from 0:34 to 0:40 and you'll hear it. I don't know but it sounds badass. You call always tell a mopar from all the rest. None come close.

its a small exhaust leak coming from the manifold. nothing serious. comes with age.
