Being greatly inspired by the "mascots with attitude" trend, I like that Aero sports sunglasses, then moonwalks off the Sunsoft logo.

The biggest mistake I have made was selling my Super Nintendo. I LOVED AERO THE ACROBAT!!!!! ESPECIALLY THE PART WHERE HE JUMPS INTO THE POOL TO COLLECT RINGS!

Aero the acrobat 1 and 2 snes versions are both on virtual console.

Besides being a Sonic rip-off, the controls are terrible, everything kills you, and the music is forgetable. Need I say more?

Controls aren't an issue. The camera is. It's lazy. Everything kills you, but that never held back games like Contra, did it?

The music is far from forgettable. It has a style all it's own and is easy to recognize. I listen to it every once in a while.

As for being a Sonic-knock off, can't argue there. But he's definitely one of the better ones (Until he went 3D. Absolute garbage.)

If you want a BAD Sonic-rip off game (besides Bubsy 3D) look at Awesome Possum.

Well, personally the music wasn't THAT bad, but at the time I was used to listening to great music from games at the time. Like Sonic games. So I had high expectations for the music. And no, everything killing you never did in Contra. But when the stage is huge, and there are a crap ton of different paths and everything kills you that's a problem for me. Now the camera really killed it for me some of the time (In entertainment and lives wise), due to a lot of the blind jumps made when you start.

How remotely is this even a Sonic rip-off? There's hardly any running through the levels involved, you collect stars and you actually have to attack the enemy to kill them not just jump on them. Also i've never seen sonic being shot out of a cannon.

Hebe from the Hebereke series was the true mascot of Sunsoft. To prove it, look up the World Heroes commercial at the gameads website. You'll see him hopping on the Sunsoft logo.

True, when something successful like that happens, many others create their own versions and mostly fail. Sunsoft OF AMERICA was actually the one who wanted Aero and disliked Hebe so they modified him into Bop-Louie; however, they later changed him back to Hebe when Hebereke's Popoitto came to Europe.

Aero was actually developed by Iguana Entertainment (company behind some Turok and South Park games), and was later ported to the GBA by Atomic Planet, and published in North America by Metro 3D and in the PAL regions by Zoo Digital.

is this review for real? Bubsy and Aero are the best new characters? Bungee jumping in this game is the same as doing it in real life!? Come on now... this game is mediocre at best. And PLOK is just as good a chatacter- which isn't saying much.

Just who do you think you are? Plok is a great character. There has never been a character that flings his limbs at enemies. In my opinion, he is the most original character of all time. Better recognize. Cut Bubsy some slack as well. That is also a hard as only one hit kills him. Very colorful game.

Dude, you have obviously never played Plok before. Check out some footage on Youtube. There is no other game where a character can fling out all of its limbs and use them as weapons. As Plok ventures through the island he will find various power-ups that can turn him into a boxer, hunter, biker etc. If that is not original, you should check your pulse because this is a true gem. The music is one of the top ten soundtracks on the SNES.
