Another song that reminds me of my Dad. He went to heaven 9/14/11. He struggled with Alzheimers and my mom, 3 brothers and 2 sisters took care of him until the end. Thank you God for answering our prayers! RIP DAD!!!!

I love this song. After being told I was going to have another crucial surgery I left the doctors office, sat in my car, turned on the radio only to have this be the song that was on. Tell me God didn't have play a part in that. God works in miraculous ways! I will NEVER forget that moment. It truly brought me to tears.

In response to those who have argued the song is unbiblical because God does not allow suffering to Christians: James 1:2 says "Consider it pure joy my brothers, WHEN you face trials of many kinds." (emphasis added) James not only writes that it is possible for Christians to suffer, but argues that it is impossible not to. Yes, God will never lead us into temptation. But suffering is NOT the same as temptation. James says to rejoice in our suffering because it builds perseverance.
@kevren22 the statement i made was not about whether or not God allows suffering or tempation. i made and stand by my claim that Jesus does not BRING these trials. Yes we will face many trials and tribulations but Jesus is not the instigator nor the originator of these bad things, nor does He allow bad things to happen to us in order to teach us lessons. And yes the bible says to count it all joy when we are persecuted for our reward will be great in heaven. BE CAREFUL OF TRADITION
@freppy06 I agree with your claim that Jesus is not the originator of bad trials but I disagree with your other claim on whether He allows bad things to happen. I believe that God does allow trials to happen. He has to allow it, because then how will our faith ever grow in Him if He doesn't bring the rain? Because which loving Father doesn't correct his/her child? A biblical example of this is the whole book of Job. Read the 1st chapter God "allows" Satan to bring the trials to the life of Job
I know this will be taken the wrong way but...to me this video is finding hope and believing things will get better. Not about feeling unworthy. Belittling what people feel themselves telling them that Christ did more makes them feel even less and enclosed. What people need to do is open up to others and be free to feel what they are feeling.

this song is not biblically correct. jesus does not bring "the rain", never confess that. the devil is the one that brings about all the bad things in life. the bible says that every good and perfect thing comes from the lord. jesus came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. if anything in your life is not good and/or perfect then it did not come from god. we were not meant to suffer in this life. jesus already suffered for us. that's what the cross was for.

But think about it this way: What's better....a god who is not powerful enough to stop the devil from inflicting us with pain, or a God who has everything in His Sovereign fingertips and is orchestrating everything for our good (even if it hurts) and His glory?

Feeling unworthy is fine, but remember that nothing we have ever done nor could do would ever make us worthy of what Christ has done for us. When He died on the cross for you, He died for all of your sin, knowing how much you would err from the path after you were saved. So the only thing left to do is to repent! Stay on the path. He alone is our righteousness, without Him we are hopelessly unworthy. We are already forgiven! This is something He is teaching me, hope it helps.

Yes we will face many trials and tribulations but Jesus is not the instigator nor the originator of these bad things, nor does He allow bad things to happen to us in order to teach us lessons. And yes the bible says to count it all joy when we are persecuted for our reward will be great in heaven. BE CAREFUL OF TRADITION

I believe that God does allow trials to happen. He has to allow it, because then how will our faith ever grow in Him if He doesn't bring the rain? Because which loving Father doesn't correct his/her child? A biblical example of this is the whole book of Job. Read the 1st chapter God "allows" Satan to bring the trials to the life of Job

I know this will be taken the wrong way but...to me this video is finding hope and believing things will get better. Not about feeling unworthy. Belittling what people feel themselves telling them that Christ did more makes them feel even less and enclosed. What people need to do is open up to others and be free to feel what they are feeling.

breaking away from those past ways temporarily externally brings "rain" so to speak, but also gives the beautiful chance of growing closer and closer to Jesus. Keep studying the word and growing in spirit to God, remember the important thing is following Jesus in faith, not focusing on the law and such, because through Him we are exempt from the law/holds of sin. I would recommend the book "The Normal Christian Life", by Watchtower Nee. Very good in depth explanation of Romans there

IMO you are correct, the Lord never does bring us into temptation, he only leads us out of it - it is our own lusts and evil desires that bring us into temptation, however IMO this song is biblically correct perhaps your taking it out of context? our peace is internal, not external because this world does not recognize Him. this song is not biblically correct. jesus does not bring "the rain", never confess that. the devil is the one that brings about all the bad things in life. the bible says that every good and perfect thing comes from the lord. jesus came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. if anything in your life is not good and/or perfect then it did not come from god. we were not meant to suffer in this life. jesus already suffered for us. that's what the cross was for.

@freppy06 I disagree. God is sovereign. He not only allows pain, but sometimes sends it. But think about it this way: What's better....a god who is not powerful enough to stop the devil from inflicting us with pain, or a God who has everything in His Sovereign fingertips and is orchestrating everything for our good (even if it hurts) and His glory?

Feeling unworthy is fine, but remember that nothing we have ever done nor could do would ever make us worthy of what Christ has done for us. When He died on the cross for you, He died for all of your sin, knowing how much you would err from the path after you were saved. So the only thing left to do is to repent! Stay on the path. He alone is our righteousness, without Him we are hopelessly unworthy. We are already forgiven! This is something He is teaching me, hope it helps.

When a person in need looks to you what will you do? I guess turn the other way and pretend to adjust the controls another way yet say look at this pathetic soul suffering from the rain that he/she chooses to bring.
