  • @ROCKETBOOM Where did you guys find that vest. I've been searching for it forever for a Halloween Costume.

  • YOUR CRAZY! haha

  • lol! CAMERON!!

  • Wow, everyone is acting like some huge buget was being spent on this and everyone failed to do it "realistically" enough. Holy crap critical much?

It's not their fault they couldn't FLY to CHICAGO! This is just a community art event! I am sure they just rented the "german girl" outfits, it's not like they deliberately sluttied them up...

    Jesus.

  • my grandma is in the movie! she is on the float with ferris playing the accordion on the back of the float. The International Queen of Polka VLASTA!.......Just not right that they are doing this recreation in New York and not in Chicago where the movie was filmed!

  • @ravensgrin2 Agreed. Chicago was as much a character in the film as Sloan or Cameron.

  • We are a little late but the NYC Halloween Parade is (finally) on facebook. Please fan us! We need to build up our fanfare fast cause Halloween is a’ comin’ !

  • dud this guy dident even make it for ferris buller he dident even do any crasy sick dances

  • I was really in the movie!!! (No Lie, I Swear) I was a member of the band that played Twist & Shout! (The Lockport Township High School Band) I played the cornet & I had a blast!!!! I took 2 weekends to do that shot & about 5000 extras. They cut my face off when they remade it to a letterbox version but if you still own the VHS, my face is clearly visible. Those were da dayz@!!!!!

  • I don't remember there being a stormtrooper or Japanese girls dressed as cats in the movie. Ferris could have been better too. Still pretty cool

  • Call me a fuddy-duddy, but I do NOT like the way the girls' german outfits have been pornified. Killing the innocence kills the Ferris vibe.

  • i walked alongside this float at one point.. so cool

  • So you're the one that was blockig my shot. ^_*

  • No.

  • i was there, i dont remember this loll all that was missing here was the thriller dance and more audience reactions

  • Nobody knows how to "Street Party" like those New Yorkers. What I want to know is: How did they coordinate so many uniforms or costumes? Also, who is the Dee Jay for this Event?

  • looks like fun but i missed the point

  • this is the best movie ever..

this party should happen on more towns around the world as a tribute..

  • Oh, these poor people.

  • lol Matthew Broderick is a much better Ferris Bueller and they should have had it here in Chicago. Love that movie!

  • shouldn't they have done it in Chicago, if they're being slavishly imitative of the movie?

  • ur dumb homo biotch

  • white ppl..

  • "You're crazy!"

    LOL this is awesome.

  • beuller beuller edition

  • nice

  • Amazingly, those skimpy dresses make even larger bodies look hot...

  • genius, they found way to make consumers buy, and have fun,

now recreate every party scene of every movie..

  • huh?

  • its supose to be in chicago

  • lol it only lasted 3 mins..i wonder what they did after lmao

  • "What do you think Ferris is gonna do?"

"He's gonna be a fry cook on Venus."

  • if u hate fred sub to me

  • What kind of clothes are those and where do you get 'em?

  • did they sing Danke Schoen b4 Twist and Shout

  • That looked like a BLAST! I wish I could have been there! I love that movie!

  • yeah i think so Nah gave me a weeks worth of lols

  • "Ferris!, Get off of the float!"

  • I LOVE mATTHEW BRODERICK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "You're crazy!" lol

From an online-spectating point of view, it looked pretty lame.. =P Was it different for anyone that actually went?

I heard about how the music cut out during a portion of it, which kinda sucks. What confuses me, is did they play Twist and Shout over and over again throughout the parade? It works in a movie, you know, because its a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, then they can cut out, and switch to the next scene.

Was it cool to attend.. or just kinda 'hokey'?

  • Yeah, I see what you mean: It's a charming and awesome idea in theory, but in execution, an unhappy dilemma would seem to crop up... Should it just be done once (true to the movie), in which case, all of the time, effort, and expense that went into it would have only a couple of extravagant minutes to show for it? ...or... Should it be repeated ad nauseum, rendering it cloying and ridiculous, but at least being of a duration that justifies all of the aforementioned time, effort, and expense?

  • GO to Wrigly field now, all of you go now and watch a ballgame.

  • "You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there. People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. South Side."

    -President Obama

  • That comment was made because Ferris Beuller went to Wrigley Field in that movie. Wrigley Field is one of the last original stadiums standing, besides Fenway park. I really don't care if you are a White Sox fan. These are amazing stadiums that I would love to see before they get torn down.

  • "ferris"only stands for selfish gratification, and egotistical manipulation. does'nt anyone else see that?

  • nope

  • We NEED that sort of thing though. Without selfish gratification every once in a while, we'd all be living in a world full of Bill O'Reilly clones.

    *shudder*.

  • one of my favorite movies of all time.

i'm a little let down. "Ferris" could have been better.

  • SAVE FERRIS!!!

  • Beuller...

    Beuller...

    Beuller...

    -Qes

  • omg!! i would have gone to the parade if i knew they had that float...lol

Too bad the real Ferris couldn't be there though.

  • Of all the things to recreate! Classic! :)

  • ew what a lamo

  • just my oppinion, everybody has a right to have one

  • Well Done!

  • Did Matthew Broderick show up? I read somewhere that Mina and Kara did indeed formally invite him. It would be interesting to hear what he would have to say about this.
