  • You are spot on, Epistuff. He cut a good light for sure. That's why you either use your brain (internal computer) or an external computer (delay box) to time when to leave on a 5/10ths tree. I prefer a pro tree (4/10ths) but it is rarely used except in heads-up racing. On a 4/10ths tree, you simply leave as soon as you see ANY amber bulb(s) flash and if you happen to redlight, you stage shallow and adjust accordingly.
