No I don't eat that much fruit, yet. Humans have been eating meat and all sorts of other food since ages and what happens? They get cancers and other sicknesses, unlike other species on earth, who eat a diet most suitable for their body. That's why fruitarians are so healthy. And not saying you can't eat meat to be healthy, you can add random things to your diet and be as healthy as fruitarians, almost, but majority of food would have to be fruit anyways.
And it's not about living longest, but healthiest. I mean, you can live to be 110 years old and survive 3 cancers, osteoporosis, MS-disease and plagues, but that's not what people want. I tell them that they are the ones who are, "too obsessed in eating cooked food". Hopefully I can one day convert entirely into fruitarianism. According to Mohandas Gandhi, he never got sick and always had a lot of energy during the five years he ate a fruitarian diet. My body mass index is 20.6kg/cm^2 (normal) but amazingly, my doctor and family says I'm, "too skinny".

i think what also helps people stay away from supplements is to look at what calcium carbonate comes from ... nothing more than a rock. if we place a rock in front of someone's face and ask them if they think they need it to be healthy, they generallly reply with a "no" but then have no problem taking rocks in a capsule. strange, but true :) say no to calcium sups!
I tend to think ALL these various so called ' raw supplements' are a fraud also, MSM , Green Powders, Angstrom Minerals, Camu Camu berry Powder etc.
They are all just Marketing gimmicks to make someone else Rich and NONE of them work or do what they say , Mike here takes NO supplements of any kind and hes doing excellent
@LegPains i would have to agree for the most part, i think someone who eats like mike needs no supplements, because he is aligned with how man is designed to eat. but for people who refuse to eat well, supplements can keep people off drugs. for example, my grandma takes MSM and anti-inflammatory herbs that reduce her inflammatory knee pain. this kept her from having an unnecessary knee replacement. so, i think its all relative to who is using it and what they are willing to eat :)

@LegPains read his race report from Western States 100 on his website called the fruitarian in it he explains how he did not do well running fast and long on only celery juice. believe me he wished he could have. It was just not possible. He was tested as not having enough sodium in his blood. he was really scared as he felt the unfamiliar feeling of hyponitrimia and it is a scary place to be. He is kind of a pioneer in that he is really the only fast long distance runner living on all fruit/veg
@LegPains It seems not, because according to him all the ultra marathon runners take salt pills, he may even be taking less than most, and he says it is not uncommon for people to suffer from low sodium during ultramarathons. And he says he only needs to really take them for races that go for more than about 4 hours and when he is going at a fairly fast pace, which is pretty extre me for anyone
@LegPains for ultra and hard intensity exercise I would have to say YES...ultra intensity running is really not natural to begin with an no animal does it in nature, so it is safe to say, maybe we should not be either, but you know humans...give them a challenge and see how far they can go. It is not natural, but b/c man is so curious, we undoubtedly run into problems,...but luckily our bodies learn to adapt if we are smart enough to not tax ourselves for too long. @LegPains, eskimos eating introduced non-native foods are known to have the decay problem, due to introduced flour products, sugar, coffee,..etc., but not their native foods.

I've studied this. Calcium is used in exocytosis. Basically it takes calcium to process protein. So when we have a lot of protein the body has to use a lot of calcium. That's why studies found that drinking more milk didn't help women with osteoporosis. It's not that they didn't have enough calcium. It's that they had to much protein. Duh. God forbid anyone should be told to reduce their protein. Milk has both. Why is it so hard for people to let go of protein? Everyone wants to add protein.

I think blood tests of ALL raw food gurus or anyone promoting any diet will be VERY convincing. @Rawlee1 YES, please do. I'm wondering why I can't readily find Dr. Doug Graham's blood test results online. I think blood tests of ALL raw food gurus or anyone promoting any diet will be VERY convincing. I'm not being harsh on Dr. Graham as I am following the 80/10/10 diet right now, but I would like some reassurance.
