  • I want this video on my OT-202 phone.

  • Hear that subaru rumble! oh wait....

  • This vid is popular on Malta

  • nice idle! i love the sound of a fine tuded engine...

  • why dont you disconnect the battery?

  • bad example to the public... start it with a chicken stick or something at least for the video..

  • you could loose a finger just starting it

  • mało brakowało a by ci palca ucięło :)

  • your camera is 1978 as well:)

  • will it blend?

  • Fantastic. Wish they made engines like these today.

  • that thing is fuckin scarey...I love it! lol

  • you need glasses or a new camera.

  • now this is sweet....little kick arse 2 stroke...santa

  • cut your fingers, easily! :D

  • Sounds like it has a dead plug :o

  • v4?

  • @TopNotchTNP no, boxer 4

  • all you need is some unequal length headers lol.

  • Do tey have V4's or inline 4"s an inline would be good for model cars seeing as it is used in VW's so why not shrink it down?

  • lol the little cart is gonna start pulling away

  • Wow that even sounds like a baby subaru!

  • This was one of the more advanced engines with excellent torque and smoothness for lower rpm operation that is desired by scale modelers.

  • its got that french "fail" sound to it.

  • put it in a scale vw bug

  • dude... fuckin...sweet...idea!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ооператор тупой-в какойто момент съемки находился в плоскости вращения пропеллера-очень большой рис получить в лоб разорвавшимися лопастями

  • That's the smallest, sexiest boxer engine ive seen... and its over 30 years old!!!!

    I want one >.> XD

  • lol

  • put that in a model subaru, and we are good!

  • @Kaseythehusky Put it in a mini model of my dads airplane.

  • @Kaseythehusky Subaru? What about a VW beetle...

  • Its like a tiny boxter engine.

  • That's precisely what it is :P

  • @bostondog55 dont you mean boxer?

  • It slices

    It dices

It will even fly your model plane.....

    Buy now for $9.99!

    that is pretty cool though.

  • its a 4 stroke engine??

e want buy one of these

then try to put a turbo on it

  • Nope...it's a two stroke

  • It's not a 4-stroke engine. There are no rocker arms or valves.

  • its like a weedeater

  • Put it on a weedeater! You'd be able to cut some major weeds with that!

  • Like a mini VW bug engine

  • Comment removed

  • get enough of these motors on that cart and youll have a fan cart.

  • Try disconnecting the glow plugs once it is running it will increase plug life.

  • There is a switch on the plug wires... try starting that engine with a single plug igniter.....

  • how much cost this motor?

  • Does sound like it was giving full revs or a glow plug was out....

  • still have all ou fingers? :p

  • stuff it into an r/c baja bug!!!

  • guarda los dedos!!!

  • OMFG! when that first started it well made me jump, sounds like a fly was stuck in the cameras microphone or something. that is seriously cool

  • NIIIIICEEEEEEEEE

  • I would like to build one of these and run it on home-made biodiesel, maybe turn a car's alternator via pulley, as a proof-of concept.

  • It doesn't have a nearly high enough compression ratio

  • cool, a flat 4, now all you need is a 1/8 scale RC Porsche 911.

  • Even better a 912! Since they had flat 4s.

  • also make cooling heads for it and an muffler

  • yes dah

  • oh alot r called micron motors

  • wow i got shoe boxes full of these things got them from a old guy that died and idn't know nothing about them i got little boat engines to ones with red heads and all kinds of stuff message me if u need stuff or tell me about them i am willing to take pics of it all and eamil them if u need to c it all

  • ill buy one from you lol seriously

  • 11jstedm go to ebay there cheap

  • That engine would be awesome in a rc beetle! Why doesent anyone produce that? it sounds sooo good damn cool! real flat four

  • Isn't this a boxer-like engine?

  • It is, indeed.

  • yay! I'm gonna make my MS-speech say I'm smart =)

No really thx for the response =)

  • Ferrari also made a flat cylindered engine, it was a twelve though.

  • you can unplug the battery now, it is a glow start after all, you dont need to use the battery after breaking in. Just so you know =D

  • wow cool

  • You shouldn't stand in front of the spinning prop.......be careful!

  • Thanks for the advice young man, but please look more carefully:

the camera don't move because I took the clip alone, so the Canon was screwed on a tripod since I started the engine !

  • @dreamwisperer There is no risk from standing in front of the prop. If anything happens, the blades will fly out to the sides, not forward.

  • @TirianB But if the prop were to come off, it would fly forwards, hence the warning :)

  • @TirianB No it won't, it's a 1 piece prop, if the locking nut on the propshaft comes off the thing will hurtle forwards, not a highly likely scenario if assembled correctly but certainly not improbable.

  • @dreamwisperer and the camera learned to fly at 1:04

  • ok.. so are the leads attached to the glow plugs just for heating prior to start or do they need to be on permanently? also... am i mistaken in assuming the exausts are upright expelling the burnt gasses? ;o

  • PUT THAT ON AN RC CAR!!!

  • easy starting!!

  • Lol. I thought my Jetta had a small engine.

  • boxer....very cool.......just like WRX

  • or ferrari or porsche or sterling or v-dub or honda or bmw yadda bla...

  • wtf a u crapping on about?! bmw and ferrari dont have boxer engine. and this is a 4 cyl....just like WRX!!!

  • dang, do some research please k?

  • shut the fuck up u idiot!

  • im not quite sure what a boxer is? is it an engine that the pistons are pointing straight at each other? and if it is bmw has a boxer in a bike

  • I've never personally researched the matter, but I know that the Porsche Boxer engine is what they call their flat engine, but that could be a name like VR6 or V-Tec. So for the BMW bike for example, it would just be called a flat two.

  • Well, marek, if you'd ever seen a twin-cylinder BMW motorcycle, or the Ferrari 512 or Testarossa, or tried to inform yourself at all before you made an ass of yourself, you'd know you were dead wrong.

  • YES Ferrari stopped making them long time ago!.......BMW....we're talkin bout cars not bikes!....this is exactly a WRX engine!....thats all i was saying!

  • lol, the 512 is called "512 TR" and TR stands for TestaRossa... actually the engine of the 512 TR is NOT a 12-cylinder-boxer but a 180° V12... sounds strange? but it is the truth! this engine here is like marek0086 said a bit like a subaru-flat-4, but also similarly to a beetle-engine (aircooled)... although it doesn't have spark plugs nor valves ^^

  • Thanks, I was aware.

  • And this could also be comparable to the smaller Lycomings that are in most smaller airplanes (like Cessnas)

  • look strong

  • Sweet!!
