Absolutely one of my favorite songs. Dory's just toooo under rated. I''ve had this album since it first came out. I'm not sure she ever wrote a bad song.
One of the biggest oversights in the singer songwriter genre. She's original in her music, lyrics and singing style. Maybe too much so. A shame many people who enjoy Joni Mitchell don't know about Dory. Instead of spicing her music with jazzy stylings like Joni, Dory applied little hints of her Broadway-soundtrack style of arrangements. It all worked well. Some tracks are classics. "A Stone for Bessie Smith," about Janis Joplin's purchase of a tombstone for Bessie is great.
So sad. I just learned of Ms. Previn's passing and I had to play this, my favorite tune of hers. May she rest in peace.

This was recently in Rolling Stone as one of Jenny Lewis' favorite 70's California Rock songs. I have this album!
