It's nice that Katherine got custody of the kids, I just hope that she does not raise them as jehovas because Michael went against that belief and his kids were raised with birthday parties and christmas's and after losing their father, it would not be fair for them to be raised without anything that they are so familiar with and MJ would of not wanted that or else he would of raised them as jehovas.
I think what happened was that the will is old and was never updated. When the children were born Janet was in the studio and on tour with the Velvet Rope. So that may have been one of the reasons.

I think what happened was that the will is old and was never updated. When the children were born Janet was in the studio and on tour with the Velvet Rope. So that may have been one of the reasons.

I also believe that Janet would do a wonderful job with the children because of her closeness,love and loyalty to her brother. LOL. She wants to get in good with the kids. What I don't like is that she gets to keep her parental rights. That can be a problem for Katherine and the family. I would not have agreed to that term. So who gets to determine where they go to school, what medical treatment and so forth. I think introducing Debbie at this time is a very bad idea.

I thought Joe J. didn't "reside" with Katherine J. anymore? Aren't they legally separated? Why would MJ leave his children with his Mother if he knew that Joe was still residing there, that woudn't make sense. I believe the biological Mom didn't want them after she received the loot! Yes, but how many times and for how much money?! Twice she signed away her rights and they were reinstated. CA is a messed up state. I think once she gave those rights away, that should have been for good. She only wants the money which is what she took the first couple of times. She got a 1.2M ranch home from MJ. When she agreed to give up custody the 1st time she got $8M plus $900K a year for 5 years spousal support. You hope she isn't greedy? I think she's proved otherwise.

I don't think Janet has been w/the kids all their lives-due to her career, travels, etc. However, that doesn't mean that she wouldn't make a great candidate for a GUARDIAN for her late brother's (MJ) kids. But, there is something to consider...WHY didn't MJ stipulate in his WILL that Janet could be the guardian, hum...perhaps, he knew his sister better than us, maybe he considered that she wanted a career & wanted to do a lot of tours, etc. WHO KNOWS? ODD, He knew HE would die "before" his Mom.

There is more to consider...this is where the courts come in-they have to select the best provider (o.k. J.J. is a great candidate financially), they must consider the children's social, emotional, etc. development (J.J. appears as if she would be GREAT at teaching, disciplining, encouraging the kids), then of course, there's the LOVE & CARE issue (J.J. seems asthough she has a gentle, loving, kind, generous spirit). The only drawback would be her CAREER, touring, etc. Well, MJ used a NANNY too
