  • this circut is awesome. I can't wait for its GP. Overtake will be difficult, that's right, but it looks like a classic street circuit, what turns it interesting. I think it has what Monaco doesn't have. And since 2008, new circuits don't seem have lots of overtakes. Let's wait and see, we 1st have the Texas circuit this year

  • I want this video on my X114 unit.

  • It also doesnt seem to have any real corners in it...

  • thats unfair, it looks like a high speed monaco. Quite unique and an exciting prospect.

  • Another micky mouse F1 track from the states. I dont think there will be much overtaking .

  • Dangerous and boring track

  • @nagyboti Go and watch 2011 European Grand Prix.

  • As someone who lives in the area and has driven over these roads hundreds of times, I have to commend the creator of this video on getting it right. Some of the scenery isn't 100 percent perfect but the roads are spot on. Great job.

  • when i heard of this i thought it would be another horrible tilke street circuit. but it actually looks ok for the driver. will be very boring for fans though.

  • looks like the only overtaking opportunity is at turn 15 and finishing up the move at turn 18, other than that overtaking is almost impossible due to the tight and fast nature of the track... because slow wide corners create overtaking opportunities. Although i do like the setting and speed of the track, but overtaking is just not there.

  • this track reminds me of Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. the track looks verry nice, and especially the background with the Manhattan skyline. But ovrtaking in this track will be really hard, especially on the Pershing Rd & JFK Blv. The section from Turn 12 to Turn 14 & 15 will be verry interesting

  • not much overtaking to be seen............another boring track we don't need in F1

  • @kc0793 but I bet you love Monaco

  • @kc0793 that goes for all street circuits including Monaco

  • This will be the fastest street circuit of all time.

  • too many long high speed straights.

  • @mazza6595 you must not like monza, or SPA

  • Looks a bit dull and dangerous tbh

  • Looks much better than I thought it would. One or two decent passing corners, Monaco-esque in places. Could Hermann Tilke have really drawn this up?

  • Turn 13 looks dangerous if someone did a Webber good luck?

  • I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!

  • i assume this was not designed by Tilke, as it is an actually fun looking circuit

  • @KeselowskiTheMan no its a tilke track, the only reason its anygood is because he could only choose roads that were already there! thank god he wasnt allowed a blank peice of paper to design this one

  • I'm surprised NJ wants to go through with this race even after the Xanadu debacle.

  • Depending how accurate your model is, it seems that over taking would be quite hard except maybe the chicanes on each end of the start/finish straight ..... and there is quite a lot of run-off area in sector 1

  • I like this layout. I think it'll be a great race.

BTW: Congrats on getting your video on Windtunnel with Dave Despain.

  • Great job and Hamilton was the right driver to use: ). Do you know where the Grand stands and other spectator seatings will be?

  • WOW, reminds me of Canada, fast and narrow.....

  • course is too long.

going full throttle for like half the lap.

feels like a combination of spa, melbourne and montreal

  • I like this layout

  • Amazing work!

  • cool man this video was on Wind Tunnel Show on Speed Television in the Untied States tonight.

  • Saw your video on Wind Tunnel tonight! Awesome job bro!

  • Watch: "The Grand Prix of New York 1974".

    Real cinema ...

  • Damn it Lewis, stop damaging your car! :)

  • It looks like you had very high downforce... is that true? I think the top speed could be well above the 300 km/h you reached with more moderate downforce settings...

  • @FightingTorque411

No pipe dream... actually going to happen. I am particularly excited about the passing opportunities on 14 and 18. Could make for an exciting final lap.

Man, first IndyCar in Baltimore, now F1 in New Jersey. Good time to be a gearhead on the east coast.

  • @nfr201 oh, and fantastic rendering with such amount of time. impressive.

  • this will be fastest race.I dont like it coz of the turns. And second it will be really dangerous to drive, coz 1 misstake anywhere u are dead.As u can see, driver drives "always" above 150.It will be interesting for strong squad but weak one doesnt have any chance.Where is BAR Honda ? They would own this race ;)

  • ...But Seriously, nice looking track, and great graphic work. Like so many circuit suggestions this seems likely to remain a pipe dream, but I'm glad we have artists like you to bring them halfway to reality.

  • I didn't believe this was a realistic simulation of Lewis Hamilton driving until 1:40 ;D

  • @FightingTorque411

Keep on talking shit. Check today's results.

  • @thatguyonstage I know, I saw it. I'm a huge Hamilton fan, and it was great to see him winning again, but you've got to admit that he's been more off than on this season.

  • Can i have a link for test your track ? Best regards!

  • What's this?

  • Anyone asking "why I chose Hamilton?".. It's just a pure coincidence. I wanted to take an F1 car around the track, and he's the first that popped out.. =)

  • governor christie should save money on his lunchs and fix those jersey potholes

  • That layout makes no sense. Instead of being goood, it's wroooong.

  • @BrownieF1GH hoe does a track need to make sense

  • @SCOTTYHG1 You know... the corners are fast, not only with right angles. It's not full of straights, but the average speed is high. You know, the non-Tilke-tracks. For example A1-Ring, Zolder, etc.

I mean the old tracks must be back. India wasn't as bad as e.g. Korea or Singapore, but this Jersey-layout is a bit f*cked. Of course, this is my opinion, but it's like Singapore. And that's also f*cked.

Sorry if my english is wrong.

  • @BrownieF1GH yh i knoe what you mean

  • I love the backdrop of Manhattan after turn 18, and then I thought "Hmmm, how many drivers are going to enjoy that scenery and miss turn 19?".. haha, so then on 01:38 nothke hits the wall! haha DAMN IT!

  • @ocfilmsdotcom took the word right out of my mouth lol XD

Personally, I'm loving this track. This, Austin, and (still a pipe dream, but still worth the wait) Laguna Seca would make amazing additions to the F1 Calendar :)

  • I get the impression that the track around the back half is too tight. Just doesn't seem safe to have the walls that close in such a high-speed location.

  • Where can we download this?

  • turn 8,9 and 10 could be quite dangerous if someone crashes there.

  • another street circuit..F that

F1 need new tracks like the one in India..that's an amazing race track.

F1 need real tracks made for F1 cars.

  • @vitto totally agree !

  • Thanks for this, impressive! Is that an exploding garbage can at 1:02??? Hahaha. Nice work on the simulation

  • Very nice - looks like a horrible track though..

  • Amazing!!!

  • Have you been headhunted by an F1 team yet?

  • @C0N72 No, but by magazines and tv shows, yes..

  • @nothke What do you mean exactly?

  • @nothke You made it wind tunnel. Congrats dude.

  • hey, Where can I get to download this track ? Looks good btw

  • is the forested section the interstate parkway?

  • Polish houses i loled im from Poland :) nice job! mate!

  • good job :)

  • Nice video great work but nothing aginst YOU but this Jersey GP makes me embarrassed to be American who likes F1.it looks like a fake version of the canadian GP. One American grind prix is enough.

  • whats with the TC!?

  • Man if this turns out to be as good as this simulation, we're in for a treat!

  • Apparently Tilke is impressed by your work. :)

  • I really don't like urban circuits. F1 should stop to get into this king of races. Instead they should save Spa, which is by far the best race.

  • nice piece of work, congrats !

btw, this layout would be really great, kind of a mix between Monaco and Montreal, with NYC in the scenery.

  • Looks impressive... Keep it up, you're doin great.

  • THIS JUST KILLED EVERY "NJ F1" VIDEO ON YOUTUBE.

  • awesome!!!! F1 should pay attention to this.. it's unique.... u culd get some bucks hehe

  • Looks to be a fast track, nice :)

here is a tip: don't play with throttle so much, when exiting the corner, push it only after you know you wont be taking your foot of it again :)

But nice job never the less. :)

  • eheheee BBC 1 thats the way to promote a proper work.

  • I wish my comp could play rFactor :-(

  • Wow,looks awesome

  • OMG THIS IS AWESOME I finally get to see a race around my house :DD

  • awesome job man

  • this is great! I'm surprised someone has already put this together!

  • Nice job on the vid. Thanks for the effort & time you spent.

  • nice work. track scenery looks quality, and the turns ans straits all look amazing. got a real Monaco feel about it. Can't wait to play it myself on F1 2013 Ps3 haha

  • Good job.

  • @jdsouza Right.. Cause realism is my priority, it will be fixed in next version.. =)

  • Amazing, is it ready for R factor?

  • Where you get that rev and gear counter? Much better than the standard rFactor gauge, even though I know it might be a bit useless for stuff like WV8S or WTM.

  • It'll be interesting to see where all the TV cameras & similar stuff would go, there are some sections there that look a little bit tight for cars, let alone anything else.

    Still, amazing job!

  • Great job. Can't wait to see it when you've added more detail.

  • The Manhattan skyline isn't really that close is it? It looks a lot farther away in some pictures I've seen.

  • very nicly done m8 , has a real monaco feeling to it but alittle more open which is a good thing , might see some over taking lol , looking forward to it !

    good job !

  • Lol, WTC =)

  • I wish it was in the streets of Manhattan, like Monaco or Valencia.

  • Looks like Macao!

  • awesome work mate, you're a genius

  • BBC sent me here :)

  • Needs some graphics for the sewage treatment plant..... :P

    Nice job dude!

  • @jasgrider the plant needs EXTRA detail!! =) I hope there wont be a "smell" factor in taking the hairpin xD

  • @nothke I tweeted this to Will Buxton and Steve Matchett from SPEED, they loved it!

  • hey great video man that definitely looks like it would have the feel of monte carlo with it but in america. I am looking forward to hear more about this gp

  • great job

  • Good job!

  • This could be a fun layout. Great job.

  • Excellent work considering how fast you finished working on it!

  • Fantastic job! Have you considered contacting the race organizers? A lot of times they like making videos like this...

  • Dude... this is amazing. Puts everything into perspective. For some reason I thought the track was shorter than it is.

    Amazing work, seriously.

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing work for a BTB sketch, great to put the track into perspective.

  • The bump at the chicane... Wow.

  • @Electroelectro Actually the bump at the chicane doesn't exist =) (or it's not as exaggerated) The sketch I made has few altitude problems, so it just self-made a bump.. But the real street has numerous altitude changes and bumps which are not present here. It will be corrected.

  • @nothke Oh, not that I'm bothered :) It's a nice job!

  • Wello done. First to market!
