I do something similar to this, but I get someone to hold my ankles from a door frame pull-up bar so I can use my legs for assistance if I want to, for more reps.

thanks! I just used to do normal pull-ups, but after hearing this, i can do more now, and really work my lats! i'm gonna get started right now
