JEEEEEEZ Do You know anything about 2,5L R5 TDI from VW/Audi !? It's vaccu noise man. That was 20.000km ago and still noise is the same. Engine is fine and nothing to worry about. Brakes are fine too. It's not a petrol engine, has to be noisy ;)

@uprightbassmatt Vacuum? You know diesel engines doesn't create vacuum and have an external vacuum pump driven by the camshaft right?

The ticking noise is the exhaust touching the heatshield between the pipe and fueltank

I had the same ticking on mine, until i welded a new 2,5" straight pipe for exhaust :)

Recommend that btw, awesome sound at higher revs :)

Sorry to say that, but diesel is for trains trucks and tractors and also for hell to burn the diesel users :D

It sounds like a tractor and you also have a strange knocking sound.

Wanna have a good exhaust sound than buy inline six (BMW) or V8 but only benzin

I just watched your video, thank you for it. I glanced at the same model as yours. I am interested in whether you can answer a few questions. How much run it per liter of diesel, or how many litter / 100 Km? So in mixed driving, and normal use ;-) How many rpm. located on approx. at the cruise speed around 130 kmh?

it's a vaccu noise - normal sound in that TDi engine :) no need to worry about that :D

I don't think so. Listen to other 10 years old 2,5 R5 Diesels from VW/Audi. I'm aware of that noise, but inside a car You don't hear a thing :)

i'm a vw mechanic and i service a 95 audi a6 avant with jus over 240,000 on the clock the last time i saw it and it doesn't knock like that, you'll know about it when it shits it self an ur brake peddle goes hard an you need to stop in a hurry.

I know all of that :) but each taxi with TDI sounds like my Volvo. Sound on this video is very bright and high pitch but in real world my V70 sounds a little different.
