Kalancha means beanpole in russian, in the english version the added the V at the end to make it soudn more russian. Docent Suslov was in the same research team as Beanpolev and Lebedev.

@IggyHazard An individual can't affect the noosphere significantly, they had to do it via the C-Consciousness. Talk about collectivism. One way to do directly and in person would be to invent an artifact made our of a controller's brain, but it's a little far fetched since controllers can only control human minds. The only "practical" way to have tamed piggies is to bred them like Noah and Doctor did with their Pseudodogs.

It's like when they try to ban guns from civilians with the excuse of reducing crimerate. I'm glad that the canon ending is the one in where Mark'd-1 destroys the C-Con but, despite that, the damage done to the noosphere is likely permanent, that's why in CoP you still found anomalies, artifacts, mutants and emissions.

@IggyHazard The Zone is like an open wound, it will likely never heal and even if it does heal, it will leave its mark forever. It's like the real life Zone of Exclusion, it will never be the same, even if humanity manages to rebuild the city. Either we build up an immunity to radiation or leave it be. In the STALKER universe, if it ever becomes more civilized and safer to inhabit, someone will try to reopen the wound in the noosphere to start all over again. Could be a good plot for a sequel.

I think I have hit a bug. When I start playing in the swamps for real I get two objectives. Go help the people at the left and go help the people at the right. And when I help eather of them I end up with only 1 person standing at each "point" this is really annoying since it leaves nobody to help me take over new points.. Ow and I have to add that I have an illegal version but dont worry its just to try out the game if I like it I will buy it.

Oh, you mean anomaly, that can suck you in and make you kind of ''spin'' around? It looks like a wind cloud. Anyway, you should avoid these things, they can easily kill you. it's impossible to see these, so you have to throw bolts at them, to make them visible. Almost all the anomalys are invisible :/

@Wakaboo14 It will run smoothly, at about 50 fps. If you'll get bad fps, or stuttering, reduce AA / grass density / lower all shadows and disable Sun Shadow. After that it'll run at best, and believe me, you won't screw graphics with my advice. :)

I have to say I found these games quite frustrating. I got lost with the story and ended up just not caring about it, the constant looting of so many small and redundant items from almost EVERY corpse, the stupidly realistic bullet wind drop making shooting a pain in the ass, the dumb AI, the lack of mutants (in the first game) and overall I just felt like it could have been MUCH better. But for some reason I still find myself liking the games.

SHoC and CS doesnt have much of a graphical change but a large RAM requirement to support bigger levels (I noticed the synchronization takes longer in CS than in SHoC...it uses more ram to support more crap in levels and in the PDA...by far the longest comment of my youtube life...)

and i said that soc and cs had not much of a graphical difference is because its unlike other games like far cry, doom, the elder scrolls etc. and multiplayer runs smoothly...20-30 fps or some shit like dat unlike the single player which runs at 15-20

stalker definetly is more realistic than fallout, and I personally think that it has a better atmosphere. However, Fallout pulls off the RPG/FPS mechanics much better than Stalker does and theres more stuff to do in Fallout.
