@Glendale1901 It isn't fake. There is a macbook pro with a corei7 processer 2.66ghz with only 4gb of ram but you can add more 4gbs if you want(to pay more).
People need to be more informed about computers before they buy. Jeez for the money you spent on the macbook pro you could have gotten a pc with better specs especially in the graphics department. And in case anyone brings it up windows computers are not as vulnerable to viruses as you might think it depends on what websites you go to and what you do there. As long as you have good antivirus you should'nt get a virus, i use a free antivirus it works well and updates daily.
@TheShadowTrooper I'm a computer specialist (electrical engineer) and have been responsible forth the maintenance of everything from mainframes to desktop computers for over 30 years. I am as cost sensitivem but feel that Macs are better choices for home use. Since they are more reliable, require far less maintenance from the average user, last so much longer and are more productive the cost difference disappears in reality. You cannot ever get rid of viruses in Windows (look up Zeus Trojan).
@Billy123bobzzz If you are what you say you are then you should recognize that comparing the specifications specifically in the graphics card department pc's consistently offer more powerful graphics cards then apple. and for less money. and most of the other parts are often cheaper with pc's. The only thing apple is justifyed in charging more for is the aluminum unibody and longer lasting battery which is non replaceable, apple just wants to make more money by having them replace it.
@TheShadowTrooper that's a Loy of cycles in. Case you havent noticed. ThAt would be if you use your 10hr battery for every day itwould still have an amazing charge for at least 4 to 5 years and the way apple makes there barreries. They don't Ned to be replaced
@snoman6363 I noticed, I simply dont want to be handicapped by not being able to replace the battery on my own for reasons such as this example situation: The old batt is low on charge and I need to use the computer immediately,I want to swap the old for a new batt, but im screwed because steve jobs in all his wisdom decided it would be best to make the battery non replaceable so that the moment I needed to use my laptop out somewhere where there is not outlet to recharge im royally screwed.

Intel's Hyperthreading feature allows two threads to be on standby for each processor so CPU utilities report it as as having four cores (because they "see" 4 threads. If you run a very well coded heavy duty application you will see that only two threads do all the work and the other two barely do anything (or you can look at Intel's catalog and see that the i7-620M is dual core, the other i7 cpus like the one in the iMac are true quad core.

There is now an i7-720qm cpu that is a quad core mobile cpu, however when used in actual laptops it eats through batteries like I eat through free doughnuts at a geek convention. It is also runs so hot that even though when reviewed professionally its fast, in actual daily use its clock rate automatically slows way down so for us its actually not noticeably faster than the dual core i7-620m. Yes, these mobile cpus are weird. :)

The improved graphics with the improved high-res is amazing for watching movies/playing games!
And, when the power is off, it only takes 6 seconds to startup and turn on. :D
