Hell, Martin Scorcese didn't win anything until "The Departed".
gran torino should have been nominated, and won everything. but seriously it should have been nominated and won best picture not just because its eastwoods last movie. more so because the movie balances a good amount of drama and humour but above all its a movie that is very relevant to society in america right now. i love that movie and for it to not even have been considered and milk was makes me very upset. the kids werent the best actors but eastwoods performance was amazing.

the best romantic comedy was Zack and Miri make a Porno...hands down. even though it was dirty and raunchy, it was awesome. and tropic thunder is also up there on my list.

Nice intro, peter. Guess what - Slumdog bagged 8 oscars. i feel that movies like tdk, iron man, tropic thunder should have been nominated at least. & ur right - even gran torino was so good. it was oscar-worthy stuff. i hope next yr they put some real 'good' movies up for nominations.

as far as best picture; whether you liked The Dark Knight or not, it should ATLEAST be nominated, even if it doesn't win. and slumdog millionaire should most certainly not win, movie was retarded. in bruges should prly be nominated, and i wouldnt be upset if the wrestler won either.

Cool intro but it needs to be longer and transition into your show better. Move through the city and then end at a billboard of a pic of you and the show or at a theater: Now playing "Movie Buzz" staring Pete R. It's a C+ with A potential. If u add the black&white pic of you with shades on from previous intro to the end then you in the "studio" it might work better.

Quite like the new intro/outro Peter, although I preferred the older outro, but I guess they kinda have to match, right?
Anyway, Best Comedy was Pineapple Express I thought, Best Action would have been Iron Man, Best Movie should go to .........actually I don't know, it's been quite a lame year for movies. I just hate the way all the films that were nominated are all films at the end of 2008 rather than the stuff at the beginning.

Once again, The Oscars prove that they're nothing more than a joke. Mickey Rourke gets screwed so that Sean Penn can make his political statements. They punish the ones they don't like and reward those that they adore. That's why Peter Fonda lost in 1997 after going out on a limb by playing a vulnerable grandfather, while Jack Nicholson wins for the fourth time for playing the same character he always plays. Hell, Martin Scorcese didn't win anything until "The Departed".

gran torino should have been nominated, and won everything. but seriously it should have been nominated and won best picture not just because its eastwoods last movie. more so because the movie balances a good amount of drama and humour but above all its a movie that is very relevant to society in america right now. i love that movie and for it to not even have been considered and milk was makes me very upset. the kids werent the best actors but eastwoods performance was amazing.
