I think the title is misleading. You didn't play one hand against the pro, you played against that hyper aggro guy, and schooled him I might add. But you didn't play against hachem one time. Anyways, I enjoyed the video I watched the whole thing. do you ever play on 888?

Thanks for the post friend! Fun and helpful :) I also happen to have a video up for my fellow newbies to online poker out there that basically goes over and shows you how to develop and EXTREMELY BASIC but mathematically sound strategy. This way you can hopefully keep your initial deposit longer than a month :) And consequently develop a better game by playing more! Anyway thanks again for the post! Here's wishing you the best of luck!
it seems like you do a lot of guessing. you could have 4 bet the pocket jacks preflop or even value bet the turn, and then you definitely would have had a better idea of where you were at, although itss not like you played the hand wrong at all. like i said, it just seems like u never know where youre at in a hand. i wish i had youre bankroll :'( soon enough
i miss the good ol days of online poker the field just to be so soft at all ranges now everyone is a pro lol always doing hero calls and talking stradegy playing their .1/.2 games what a joke ...
sooooo in the vid you utter the words : show me aces or kings.....in the after commentary you say yea i figured he had AK..... dude be honest with yourself
wow, really impressive call with the JJ did you had some tells on him? how deepstacked is this limit btw because I see most with way more then 100 BB deep
and considering you're tournament results. keep away from the tourneys :P
No need to sound critical here, nice call with the jj. But the check on the turn means he has nothing. The big bet on the river means he wants to scare away a hi. He would probably bet small with all queens, or maybe he had kq or aq. He may have also had aa. There's no way he has an 8/6 in that spot, because he three bet you pf. You Should raise the river, because that'll fold out aa,kk,aq,kq. The only hand he'll call you with is qq, so it's effective. THis is constructive. Pls reply w/ thoughts
On the JJ hand I'd be putting him on some 8x suited connector that just filled up or air like he had. AA-QQ is never in his range since were checking back almost all of our range and were not folding often when the 8 hits.
It's actually rather strong board for the Jacks. There is no value in raising as there is no hand you'll get value from and leave yourself open for bluff-reise. His jacks are about the best bluffcatcher hand you may hope that you wouldn't bet on the turn.
Very standart hand, aside from the huge overbet. In case of overbets, your your just to have to rely on your history with the opposing player. The board is a really big help here, not horrible.
@OOROLEN do your research. Hachem is one of only five poker players to win both a World Series of Poker main event and a World Poker Tour championship.
wow this is so cool i thought people at that limit are stronger.... wouldnt it be better to change the table after quadrupling your buy in when there is another big stack like yours, who you play against so you dont lose all you work on bad beat? i know you should stay at a good table but still...
joe hachem is a one hit wonder and probably the biggest donk i have ever seen. He just doesn't have a clue of what the game is all about. But even players like him can get lucky on one given day and win a big tournament.
@cardcoursecom That wasn't an "awesome" call. All the hand was played by the turn. The only way PoorUser could win the hand was trying to make loosefer fold on the turn, because everything he'd check or bet on the turn would check the river except 88 or QQ, so by checking the turn he didn't have a boat or a queen that he tried to rep on the river.
nice call with the jacks, i put him on garbage too, his bets were pussy bets where he looked like he was trying to steal the pot. also his check on the turn gave away that he had shit.
Hachem hasn't even proven he's a top pro. He has 2 tournament wins and he doesn't play in cash games with the big guns. I'm not saying he's bad, because he's pretty good at tournaments. But when it comes to cash he's nothing special at all.
And how is this video "high stakes"? Looks like 10/20.
<you are wrong.Hachem play in the cash games with the big names like Dwan,Doyle and more..He actually played very very well against those pros.Someone bluffed himm and he reraised the guy with A high ....very impressiv play from hachem

last hand thoughts... older video, just interesting hands thats all "loosefer"
I check behind on the flop to get him to bluff at the pot, I raised his turn bet because the board was kind of drawy but fairly uncoordinated and thought I might get him to call with worse or come over the top as a bluff. Once I call his turn raise I need to call a reasonable bet (might have folded if he overbet again) on the river because he has too much air in his range.
Really nice calls lol

Such a dry flop, I think aq or better would have value bet 3 streets, given the aggressive dynamic showed in the first hand.
