Well, wow. Animals certainly are surprising, and wolverines have clearly never been warned of the dangers of self-abuse! He doesn't look to be straining at all - remarkably flexible beasties.
I'm probably not anthropomorphising when I say I have a good idea why he's grooming himself like that, but I'm not so clear why he keeps grabbing his leg with his paw: It's certainly not for balance, and he doesn't seem to be going for his nuts or what they're resting on. Any ideas?
