This was the greatest day in Ohio State football history. Better win 8 in 2009 RichRod or get your bags packed. YOU FREAKING COACH AT MICHIGAN! I dont see how he wins eight this year, but if he does it will be a small miracle.
FIRE him NOW! 9 losses headed r way! 9 LOSSES! And stop tryng to keep warm on the sidelines and quit blaming your players, accept responsibility and better yet just resign RESIGN!
Stop your bitching. It was his first season. Remember 2001, when WVU went 3-8 in RichRods first season? They went 9-4 in year two, and it was all uphill from there. Michigan will go 9-4 next season, and after that, we'll become a BCS power, just like WVU was from 2005-2007. We'll also go back to owning the Ohio State Suckeyes.
If only you would be right about this...unfortunatley the guy has no sniff about MI wolverine football...nor does he know how to act like an adult and take responsibility which shows an incredible amount of immaturity and lack of charachter. And charachter does matter.
He not only lost, he lost without class...he whinned like a little girl or like Steve Spurier on the sidelines...nothing I want to be associated with MI football.
As long as we are winning under Richrod, I don't care how much he whines after a (rare) loss. Urban Meyer is probably the biggest crybaby in all of college fooball, and yet, his Florida Gators are the envy of everybody, even USC. Richrod gets a free pass for 2008 cause it was his first season, but from here on out, the wins will be pilling up, and I hope when that happnes, you don't care so much about his bad attitude after loses. Besides, RichRold embolds that lovable Michigan arrogance. (:
WolfBoss...I think that 9-4 this year is kinda out the window........bet RR would love to have Boren back.....You'd better hope that his "lovable Michigan arrogance" puts some wins on the table..didn't seem to help against SPARTY, did it?...I don't think that that smelly pile in the corner is "wins piling up"...some things he just can't sweep under the carpet...hell I bet Schiano is even glad he turned Martin down !! Now RR is exposed without White, Slaton, and Schmitt to ride on !!!
Take it from a mountaineer fan, It just takes a couple seasons to get the right recruits to run this offense, he will get the right athletes, thats the good news for you guys, now here is the bad. I think people are starting to catch on to the spread. Soooo many teams run it, or variations of it, that more and more defenses are figuring out ways to stop it.I think it could be a dying offense. But it sure is fun to watch!
" McGuffie joins a growing list of players apparently not returning from this season's team. Rodriguez has confirmed that Zion Babb, Jason Kates and Artis Chambers are transferring, and said last Saturday that Carson Butler and Avery Horn appear to be going as well."
Rats jumping from a sinking ship..or program in this case.
I bet last year they were some of those "top recruits" that scUM fans are always touting !
"Rats jumping from a sinking ship..or program in this case"
Rats indeed. we don't need any of those guys. They are all dispensable. They hurt team depth somewhat, but that's it. You're picking at straws buddy. Sinking ship? since when does one bad season make a program a sinking ship? RichRods teams always suck in year one, and then after that, they kick everyones ass.
I like the fact that you were being honest about RichRod seeing as you are a WVU fan, but I take objection to your assertion that teams are catching up with the spread. 8 of the nations top 10 offenses last season ran some version of the spread. Each of the last 4 national champions have all run the spread (and USC used the spread sporadically in 2004 and 2003). The spread offense looks like its here to say, and besides, Big Ten teams are horrible against the spread.
people dont realize that Michigan is in a re-building season, jeez people give Rich-Rod some time, in 4 years he will have all the players he needs to run the spread offense like he did at WVU. GO BLUE!!!
No, this is not his last year. He's a great coach. He will lead Michigan to a 9-4 record this season, and Michigan will be a national powerhouse after that. You watch.
I cant believe UM hired this guy. The teams at WVU under Rodriguez were average at best and could not beat quality opponents until Pat White /Steve Slaton. His playcalling is downright horrible. The Fiesta Bowl is proof of what the offense was capable of without RR calling the plays.
Wrong wrong wrong. Even when West Virginia was going 9-4 and 8-5 in 2002, 2003, and 2004, West Virginia still posted huge wins over Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech in 2002, VT again in 2003, and Maryland in 2004. WV almsot beat 11-2 Miami in 2003 as well. Then from 2005-2007, RR led WV to three straight 11 win seasons, and 3 straight top 10 finishes. He went 17-4 against +.500 teams in those three seasons, the best of which was a 38-35 victory over Georgia in the Sugar bowl.
And if RR's playcalling is horrible, why is his track record so good, and why were so many college coaches flocking to WV to get a better idea on how to run the spread offense? Also, WV became a dominant team anyways, but the only reason why the Mountaineers didn't dominate right from the getgo is because the talent pool at WV is so thin. But at Michigan, RR inherits tons of talent, which will equate to instant success for the Wolverines.
Instant success is yet to be determined...and what if he doesn't turn a good record for 2-3 yrs. is Wishigan gonna hang on to RR in 'HOPES' ?? or what if FRAUD decides to go to the NFL ?? Is he still going to be the "Great "coach that everyone in MICH. is touting him as ??
Players like White, Slaton, Chris henry, and Pacman Jones were NOTHING coming out of highschool, and RR turned them into superstars. If RR can do so much with so little, imagine what he can do with all the talent he has at Michigan.
pocketpooldan..sorry, but RR wasn't the one on the field...they just got the opportunity to show what they had, and what about the o-line...don't they get any credit? You are telling me that these guys would have never made it had it not been for RR..P-L-E-A-S-E !!
They could have done the same for ANY other decent football team...what happened to RR 'the saviour' at the Pitt game...he was still calling the plays, and had the same players ??
haha. Thats funny. My friends in highschool used to call me pocketpooldan. LOL. But seriously, RR is the one that coaches White and Slaton up into the all stars that they are. That includes the o-line. Mike Barwis whips guys like Dan Mozes into shape, and RR coaches them up into great football players. He's got tons of talent to work with at michigan, and that will equate to instant success. Plus, the Pitt game was lost due to Pat White and Steve slatons injuries. RR IS Michigans savior
PooleDan..finally I can carry on a conversation with someone who acts like an adult.I agree that in part, RR had the system that allowed WVU's players to excel, mainly due to the fact that he allowed them to show their talents. Look at Owen Schmitt for example, initially, he wasn't even offered a scholarship..now he is a LEGEND !
What if he had played for a team that gave him 20 carries a game instead of 4-5 ? I still say that 98% of any team is the heart of its players !
he's not the o-line coach, but he IS an offensive minded head coach. He monitors and helps develope all the players on offense, be it at QB, TB, WR, or the O-line. You cannot suggest that RR had no matter in developing all those great lineman at WVU, all of whom were only 2 and 3 star propsetcs coming out of highschool.
im not saying that he didnt have anything to do with developing them, but rick trickett was the oline coach and he was one the best if not the best oline coach in the country; hes the one who drew up all of the blocking schemes
Certainly tricket deserves more credit then RR for developing the o-line. The point that i was making is that RR has done a terrific job at developing ALL his players. He took 2 and 3 star propsetcs at WVU and turned them into college superstars. At Michigan, with all the 4 and 5 star talent he has to work with, he will be sending jauggernaut teams out there every year, just like Bo did in the 1970's.
well, I was dead wrong abiut everything I said about dickrod and what I said in this video. i take backe verything I said in this video. I've leanred my lesson: don't jump the gun on a head coach until his team produces.
You know what? It takes a lot to say that espaicaly about your football team. I will give you props. The only reason I posted a comment at all is because at the beginning of the season I posted that U of M would be LUCKY with 5 wins and I caught a lot of shit from U of M wanna be fans, alos my brother n law is a U of M fan and I am a ND fan and I caught a lot of shit from him and everybody. O of M will be fine in the furture and BELEIVE me I know what you are going through
Well, I think all Michigan fans expected at least 8 wins from this team, and instead Dickrod completely fucks us over. I give you and people like you credit for having the foresight to see that we would SUCK this season. I actually don't think Michigans fututre is bright at all unless dickRod is here. I see us possibly going 0-12 next season, and no better then 2-10 (with wins over Indiana and Purdue). Michigan made the worst mistake ever by hiring DickRod
Ype he was cool..lol. No family values, ppl walking off the team, no QB, more court dates than OJ....lies to kids and the public. What a winner he is...LOL..U should have let Carr stay he had class...
kind of funny how what you're saying is a lie. coaches leave, it happens everywhere and always will. he got a better offer and was having problems at wvu. just get over it.
Gee you dont watch espn or read the paaper..he told the community and the kids of WV that he was loyal and wasnt leaving..lie number 1..then he called TP telling him before he told the kids at wv that he was leaving..He also doesnt have the guts to pay for what he owes WV...Has a affair with a cheerleader.. Gee I surely would want my kid being lead by such a great man..no family values and a lier
I know him and his family personally...he didn't have an affair, he never promised he would stay with WVU. He also had a verbal contract with the current Athletic Director that the buyout would be brought down to 2m or taken away completely when he became the athletic director and all contracts written or verbal count.
Well if you know him like you said then someone saying he is loyal to something usually means you stick with it until your contract is over not three days after you say that you leave. Of course verbal contacts do not override written ones that is the Law. I dont know about the affair but I know what the girl said and everyone else said besides you think he would admit it if he had? Would you if you had one?
The way Rodrigues left was messed up but people don't realize that it could've been way worse. Rich could've pulled a BOBBY PETRINO and said PEACE OUT! to WVU in the middle of the season.
With coaches like BEELINE going 5-15 so far, I think it's great for them to take out our garbage...WVU will be soooo much better without FRAUDRIGUEZ, just wait and see....
HONOR, INTEGRITY, LOYALTY, CHARACTER all mean something in WVA, I don't know what it means in METHIGAN !!
what ever what was the record of Belines first year in wv not that good it takes a few years...and rodriguez is the best coach u ever had...and the university choosed the worst coach to replace him stewart..hope you have fun losing
sorry but the university "choosed" a coach that beat the shit out of an Oklahoma team that would have stomped U of Meth.....and have you ever heard of Don Nehlen ?? Fraudriguez wouldn't even make a good pimple on Nehlens ass !!
Actually White, Devine, Slaton, and Schmitt were recruited by asst coach STEWART (he did most of the recruiting for Fraudriguez), and he is the one who called the plays in the Fiesta Bowl. His Power I formations had Okla. on their heels the whole game..48-28 proves it. So it was coach STEWARTS players and game calling that beat OU..Fraudriguez would have choked just like he did against PITT....just wait you'll see...and keep him away from the cheerleaders...just ask his wife !!
Well if Stewart is so great why do you resort to non-clever name calling and whining 2 months after the fact? According to your last post, Michigan is the one who got screwed by not getting the almighty STEWART.
crumass..I was responding to your dumbass remark about "Fraudriguez's players"......duh !
The Fiesta Bowl win is more than enough proof of Stewarts capability.......maybe you were thinking about the "ALMIGHTY" BELIEN that scUM got from WVU...LOL...hahahahahahahaha !!!!
Cromulus...looks like you are the ones that may need the good luck next year.....you will have Fraudriguez and Beiline.....by the way WVU just won their 20th game of the season and are now qualified for the NCAA tourney....and I see that Terrell Pryor made his visit to Ohio St. and had an excellent time there !! Sorry Coach Fraud, but your reputation has followed you :<
That's the Michigan basketball program. Beilen inherited a team stacked with freshmen and sophomores, and everybody knows the Wolverines basketball hisotry isn't that rich. Of course michigan only went 10-22 in his first season. But in football, RR inherits tons of talent, an experienced defense, and Michigans schedule is pretty damn easy. Michigan will experience success right off the getgo under RR.
Woe is Michigan. Some coaches are very bright, some are just dumb jocks. Sorry, Michigan. You should denut him early, or there will be nothing but disgracel, just at WVU.
Excuse me? Where were you when RR led WV to huge victories over Louisville in 2005, Rutgers in 2006, Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, and Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl? How about those monumental road wins over Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech in 2002? Or the 19-16 thriller against maryland in 2004? Rr won a ton of big games at WV, and he will do the same at Michigan.
No matter the controversy surrounding Coach Rod's departure, I think one thing, to me, is clear. The Spread Option will NOT work at Michigan. 240 pound Big East D Linemen are now being replaced by 300 pounders, and those running lanes that were there in the Big East will probably be clogged up.
Right. Did you see the way Florida, LSU, and illinois ran the spread offense against Ohio State? Illinois won 9 games running the spread offense, and they don't have tons of talwnt, unlike Michigan. Oregon went itno the Big House with the spread offense and smoked us 39-7. And Michigan ran the spread offense against defending national champion florida and dominated. The spread offense will work against big ten teams.
Look at dickrods record vs teams above .500, he is not going to beat OSU for you too often. The biggest win he ever had was a couple of WVU cheerleaders. Look at his record Michigan. I am not bitter at all. Congrats on the hire.
Gladly. RR has led WV to three stright 11 win seasons, resulting in 3 straight top 10 finishes, including a monumental victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. RR's record against plus .500 teams the last three seasons is 17-4, BTW.
What I think is funny is all of you thinking WVU is better without Rod. The coaching staff that won that game, calling the plays that Rodriguez designed, have also left your school for Micihigan. Do you really think Stewart will last there? Get real. He is only making like $800 g's taking over for a coach that was being paid $2 million. Tells us how much confidence your school has in him....roflmao. As one of your biggest booster's said, "it was a sad day when Stewart was made head coach."
And tenthframepro as your sister told several men at a party a few nights ago at 3AM, "I wish my idiot brother would just stop all the comments. He's a mortifying embarrassment to all of us in Michigan." Except she didn't use the word "mortifying", that's somewhat out of her range of conception.
First of all, remove the pole from your ass. Second of all, it actually goes either way. You can say could or couldn't. By couldn't care less it means that I have reached to lowest possible level of caring. Don't believe me? See the American Heritage Book of English. And really, of all the Michigan fans out there, some posting stuff like "ur a dumass", I get singled out for a questionable figure of speech??
Not everyone with an intererst in West Virginia football was pleased by the hire, however. West Virginia booster Ken Kendrick, who was outspoken in his support of Rodriguez following his departure, called it a "sad morning." "He is so overmatched it's not even funny," said Kendrick, managing partner of baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks.
"He's a nice guy and a father figure. But they had a wonderful architecht and they hired the painter to build the next house. I want Bill Stewart to win and I want our program to be successful. But I feel bad for our future. I'm very concerned."
tenthGAYframeFAGboy, its now evident you love to read your simple-minded writings to your little GAY friends and snicker like 3rd grade school girls but may I suggest that you get with the real world and realize nobody is even reading all your BS? Geez, nobody even cares what you write except your mom maybe and she most likely whispers "What a dufas I raised" as you walk away with your head down and shoulders slumped LMAO!
Your reading it....lol. Face the truth little boy, Stewart will be your downfall. Rodriguez was WVU footbal the past 7 years and he stepped up to coach the BEST school in college football. Grow up and get over your loss and our gain. While your at it, bow down and hail the Maize and Blue. Until next time, have a great night.
Excuse me tenthframepro , I didn't realize I've been corresponding with God himself. Give me a moment and I'll get right on it LMAO! What an arrogant imbecile you must be.
Never claimed to be God though a few people might have thought so back in my playing days. It just amazes me that the WVU fans continue to trash the Rodriguez name after taking your school to where it is now and on top of that the continued death threats on these posts are crazy. Just shows what redneck imbeciles you are. Grow up you Mountainqueer.
tenthframepro, are you honestly ignorant enough to judge ALL WVU fans as unlearned rednecks because a few are threatening Rod? Mainly I see comments by people like me who think he's scUM and we post here and then along comes you useless insects yapping away. What amuses us though is your redundant idiocies which have nothing to do with the way Rod left. You really can't be that stupid so it has to be that you're trying to be irritating stupid-asses. Good job!
Stewart promoted to Head Coach....lol. Another coach that will be gone in a few years as he too uses WVU as a stepping stone. $800,000 a year to replace a coach that left making 2 mil? This is why every coach leaves and that goes back to Bowden. Terry didn't even want the job. Congrats to CMU for giving Butch Jones an extension.
it has been hard having been born and raised in ohio. and realy hard the last few years. but things are going to change with coach rod, sam mcguffie and hopefully pryor. GOBLUE!
What about those Michigan Wolverine's??? I think I saw some of Coach Rod's plays in the game. Over 500 yards passing by Michigan is pretty damn impressive. Didn't Rod look good in that Michigan shirt and hat? Go Blue!!
tenthframegayboy, Figures you'd enjoy him in Mich attire. If a skunk didn't have stripes he wouldn't look much like the other skunks now would he? Do me a favor and screw that 48-28 score in your ear there tenthskunkpunk!
lol...You Mountain"qu"eer's are too damn funny. I give you guy's credit. You played one heck of a Rich Rodriguez game last night. Too bad your offensive coordinator left your school today. Good news for Michigan he is now coming here. He and Coach rod are why you won that game. It's called good play calling and the players actually executed the plays better than in the Pitt game. Can't wait for the word that Rodriguez has hired Jeff Casteel.
tenthGAYframeFAGboy you make me chuckle and please stay away from my beltbuckle. Make your life easier by looking at the present (WVU kicking butt) instead of living in "Maybe World". WVU won 48-28 without Rodpunk, because he was on your sidelines in one of your Gay skunk-like uniforms hiding amongst the snakes and creeps that you are LMAO! Isnt this just too fun? LOL.
I do live in the present and the Florida game showed what is in store for the Wolverines. Your win wasn't any better than ours. a win is a win. Take Rods spread plays away and WVU is blown out. Whether he was there or not, face the truth. Coach Rich Rodriguez won that game for WVU.
I hear you man. What is up with all these people saying that Michigan won't succede until RR has "his athletes"? Hello, didn't anybody see the way Michigan ran the spread offense against Florida? RR ALREADY HAS "his athletes"!
I think it will take more than a 3rd rate Big East coach to spank Jim Tressel at ohio state... assuming that's what UM is looking for. In 3 yrs UM will flush the toilet twice and Rodriguez will be back in WV. good luck in 08 UM, you'll need it!
The only way Fraud will ever be back in WV is for family reunions,....WVU learned their lesson from this backstabbing prick, and look forward to kicking his ass in the future !!
A "third rate" Big East Coach? First of all, RR was by far and away the best coach in the Big East, which is a legitimate BCS conference, and second of all, Ohio State hired a no name coach from DIVISION 1-AA to replace Cooper, and every Michigan fan thought the Buckeyes were crazy. Turns out Tressell is a pretty good coach, to say the least.
Wow get over it. I feel bad for the players and that they lost their coach before the bowl game. And he shouldn't have said that he would retire at WVU. But the guy wanted out. Respect that. He's not going to be paid all that much more at UM, plus he will prob have to pay the $4 million buyout.
It's wonderful that Michigan football is finally coming out of the dark ages, no more of being down in a game late in the forth quarter and doing nothing but hand-offs and swing passes.
Finally we'll have a high-octane offense to compliment our fabulous uniforms and fight song. Hello excitement and goodbye stodgy!!
you guys keep talkin about the offense....rod's deffense is horrible!!michigan fans good luck with the 3-3-5 in the Big Ten..haha you all will see..it wont work!! go eers
Defensive Coordinator Scott Shafer has said that Michigan will still be using the 4-3 as the base defense, and that the 3-3-5 will only be used in nickle situations. So much for your argument.
See, unlike when he wat at WV, the threat of a "better offer" coming along doesn't exist at Michigan. RR is going to be here for about 20-25 years, and he is gonig to have us as a national powerhouse year in and year out.
He may have been the 3rd choice but we were alreading talking to him 2 or 3 weeks before you Mountainqueers even had a clue. You couldn't even see what was right in front of your eyes.....lol. He never had plans to stay there. Your school has and will always be a stepping stone for bigger and better.
u0fmgblue, so you are admitting Mich is the same behind the back sneakysnake vomitsucking backstabbers as SlitheringRod is? I was taught manners and ethics when I was a kid, evidently you and your crew was taught solipsism and "screw you" 101. Nice touch the way you admit your instability, IDIOT! LMAO
So? He's a great coach, and i don't know what Bill Martin was thinking by persuing Greg Schiano. I would have been angry if Michigan hired Schiano. I would have loved to have Les Miles, but I'm thrilled to have Rich Rodriguez.
I cant wait to see the spread offense! hes got Terrelle Pryor(6'6" QB, has great speed and is similar to Vince Young. Pryor is #3 ranked recruit on ESPN 150 list, he'll be a great fit for the spread) considering Michigan now! if Pryor commits look for Ryan Mallet to transfer.
I heard from a friend at UofM that they are already practicing some of Rods plays. Just think. We have not one coach but two for the bowl game. Florida is in for a big surprise. Oh I almost forgot. WVU is in for a Sooner surprise too. Allen Patrick and Chris Brown are going to run all over your coachless team.
u0fmgblue, did you happen to see the score? 48-28. Its evident you know little about football so let me instruct if I may. The 48 is what WVU scored, the 28 is what Sooners scored. Now then, subtract 28 from 48 and it leaves 20 pts, which Sooners needed to score to at least tie. Does this help maybe a bit IDIOT? LMAO
Btw, I'm not saying that UM owns WVU or anything; it was 103 years ago. But don't say that the Wolverines have already lost to the Mountaineers when they have never really played them. That's garbage.
I think he is saying that back in 1904, Michigan beat the living crap out of WVU 130-0 and WVU has done all they can to avoid a repeat of that which is what would happen if they played again. History does have a way of repeating itself.
Um, no. I couldn't care less about something that happened 103 years ago. What I am saying is that southernbaby was bragging about how the Wolverines "couldn't touch the Mountaineers" when the two haven't played each other in over a century. Forget it. It's nothing.
Too bad queereer can't read.
Great win last night. Bob Stoops is an asshole. The only reason the Sooners have a high scoring avg is because Stoops runs up the score.
If was such a difficult decision why didn't you wait until after the Jan. bowl game to make the announcement.
Hell with all the $ you are going to make at Michigan, you've left a lot of young men about to play a bowl game wondering who's going to coach them through the game and why you preached teamwork all season and up and left before the final game.
Every player that has been interviewed has supported his decision and were very thankful for what he did for the team. It seems to be that the only people having a problem with his decision are the fans and your money hungry governor.
Same comment by you about players being supportive. WHY would they talk down and make negative comments about his decision on natl TV? They aren't encouraged to give true opinion just like anyone in the business &thats what this game has all boiled down to. First NFL now trickling down into college ball. look at T.O. he looks like a dickfor making it known how he feels a lot.Our gov is a fellow alum and is just disappointed in FRAUD as the rest of us.Good luck next year you'll need it.

Boy oh boy. Its pretty pathetic how jealous WVU fans like you go on every RR video and call him bad names.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago 3
I cant believe UM hired this guy. The teams at WVU under Rodriguez were average at best and could not beat quality opponents until Pat White /Steve Slaton. His playcalling is downright horrible. The Fiesta Bowl is proof of what the offense was capable of without RR calling the plays.
kingjosesmith 3 years ago
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
And if RR's playcalling is horrible, why is his track record so good, and why were so many college coaches flocking to WV to get a better idea on how to run the spread offense? Also, WV became a dominant team anyways, but the only reason why the Mountaineers didn't dominate right from the getgo is because the talent pool at WV is so thin. But at Michigan, RR inherits tons of talent, which will equate to instant success for the Wolverines.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Instant success is yet to be determined...and what if he doesn't turn a good record for 2-3 yrs. is Wishigan gonna hang on to RR in 'HOPES' ?? or what if FRAUD decides to go to the NFL ?? Is he still going to be the "Great "coach that everyone in MICH. is touting him as ??
shelldawv 3 years ago
Players like White, Slaton, Chris henry, and Pacman Jones were NOTHING coming out of highschool, and RR turned them into superstars. If RR can do so much with so little, imagine what he can do with all the talent he has at Michigan.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
pocketpooldan..sorry, but RR wasn't the one on the field...they just got the opportunity to show what they had, and what about the o-line...don't they get any credit? You are telling me that these guys would have never made it had it not been for RR..P-L-E-A-S-E !!
They could have done the same for ANY other decent football team...what happened to RR 'the saviour' at the Pitt game...he was still calling the plays, and had the same players ??
shelldawv 3 years ago
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
PooleDan..finally I can carry on a conversation with someone who acts like an adult.I agree that in part, RR had the system that allowed WVU's players to excel, mainly due to the fact that he allowed them to show their talents. Look at Owen Schmitt for example, initially, he wasn't even offered a scholarship..now he is a LEGEND !
What if he had played for a team that gave him 20 carries a game instead of 4-5 ? I still say that 98% of any team is the heart of its players !
shelldawv 3 years ago
since when was RR the offensive line coach dumbass
crosswoods23 3 years ago
he's not the o-line coach, but he IS an offensive minded head coach. He monitors and helps develope all the players on offense, be it at QB, TB, WR, or the O-line. You cannot suggest that RR had no matter in developing all those great lineman at WVU, all of whom were only 2 and 3 star propsetcs coming out of highschool.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
im not saying that he didnt have anything to do with developing them, but rick trickett was the oline coach and he was one the best if not the best oline coach in the country; hes the one who drew up all of the blocking schemes
crosswoods23 3 years ago
Certainly tricket deserves more credit then RR for developing the o-line. The point that i was making is that RR has done a terrific job at developing ALL his players. He took 2 and 3 star propsetcs at WVU and turned them into college superstars. At Michigan, with all the 4 and 5 star talent he has to work with, he will be sending jauggernaut teams out there every year, just like Bo did in the 1970's.

You know what? It takes a lot to say that espaicaly about your football team. I will give you props. O of M will be fine in the furture and BELEIVE me I know what you are going through
indoorfootballcoach 3 years ago
Well, I think all Michigan fans expected at least 8 wins from this team, and instead Dickrod completely fucks us over. I give you and people like you credit for having the foresight to see that we would SUCK this season. I actually don't think Michigans fututre is bright at all unless dickRod is here. I see us possibly going 0-12 next season, and no better then 2-10 (with wins over Indiana and Purdue). Michigan made the worst mistake ever by hiring DickRod

Gee I surely would want my kid being lead by such a great man..no family values and a lier
ridingtimes 3 years ago
I know him and his family personally...he didn't have an affair, he never promised he would stay with WVU. He also had a verbal contract with the current Athletic Director that the buyout would be brought down to 2m or taken away completely when he became the athletic director and all contracts written or verbal count.
Guzzball17 3 years ago
Well if you know him like you said then someone saying he is loyal to something usually means you stick with it until your contract is over not three days after you say that you leave. Of course verbal contacts do not override written ones that is the Law. I dont know about the affair but I know what the girl said and everyone else said besides you think he would admit it if he had? Would you if you had one?

Beat OU with Rodriguez's players*
Cromulus420 4 years ago
Actually White, Devine, Slaton, and Schmitt were recruited by asst coach STEWART (he did most of the recruiting for Fraudriguez), and he is the one who called the plays in the Fiesta Bowl. His Power I formations had Okla. on their heels the whole game..48-28 proves it. So it was coach STEWARTS players and game calling that beat OU..Fraudriguez would have choked just like he did against PITT....just wait you'll see...and keep him away from the cheerleaders...just ask his wife !!

How about those monumental road wins over Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech in 2002? Or the 19-16 thriller against maryland in 2004? Rr won a ton of big games at WV, and he will do the same at Michigan.

pizzaparty62 4 years ago

"Look at his record Michigan"
Gladly. RR has led WV to three stright 11 win seasons, resulting in 3 straight top 10 finishes, including a monumental victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. RR's record against plus .500 teams the last three seasons is 17-4, BTW.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago

Not everyone with an intererst in West Virginia football was pleased by the hire, however.

Hell with all the $ you are going to make at Michigan, you've left a lot of young men about to play a bowl game wondering who's going to coach them through the game and why you preached teamwork all season and up and left before the final game.

His "young men" are supporting his decision.
You act like this is the first time a team has ever lost its coach before a bowl game.
Grow up...

You are idiots if you think the students were being completely honest on national tv.
Ok maybe not idiots, but extremely naive.
