  • My favorite ending episode before the credits was when you see Ra's Al Ghul's hand comes out from the pit and he starts laughing evilly again.

  • Its very simple why the theme is so AWESOME : composer DANNY ELFMAN. Download the soundtrack from BATMAN 1989 and you will see that all songs are allmost exactly like this one. Darked themes.

  • they should use this theme on dark knight rises ending, that'll be really awesome

  • I've started recording this on DVR. I remember watching this after school and I honestly never knew how adult and dark the themes were in this show. It's true that some things get better with age.

  • I deeply believe that Nolan must use this as ending theme.

  • I think the orchestra music is one of the major point why this serie was one of the best.

  • This ending theme is so cool !!!

  • Best ending credits I've ever seen

  • its too short...

  • This illustration was referenced in the most recent episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

  • @bluenowait I am Harmony... I am the Day... I AM MARE DO WELL!!!

  • This is the best cartoon DC/Warner ever put out. EPIC!!! Well, except for the "There's a Batman in my Basement" episode with those dumb kids...LoL. I remember having to wait for other crappier cartoons to end before this came on. I would kill to be back in those days when this first aired again.

  • 0:19-0:29 I am Vengeance... I am the Night... I AM BATMAN!!!!

  • The 90s was such a great era for kid's television. Such a shame these kids today missed out!! Can't imagine not growing up with these cartoons! :)

  • @lenzino7383 i agree, there was so many epic cartoons, I mean Batman: TAS, SWAT Kats, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Laboratory, Rugrats, Doug, Powerpuff Girls, etc. CLASSIC stuff!

  • @lenzino7383 you can still grow up with these cartoons, you moron

  • @AToxicOrange Wow, I'm so glad you skipped out on giving me a well thought out point of view on why you disagree with me and went straight for the insult. You're so cool!! :)

  • @lenzino7383 Because there's no well-thought out point of view to give you. You're just a moron, flat out. It's not like if you're born after the end of the 90s, you can't grow up on these. They didn't magically stop existing. I hate people from the 90s thinking they're so much better because they were able to watch this first-run, and it's "better" than the cartoons now. Guess what? Kids from the 80s thought our cartoons were shit too, so just stop.

  • @AToxicOrange Sigh. There's always some overly sensitive user on every comment thread on youtube that has to be a buzzkill and start something. Like my comment was so offensive and there weren't other users that said things worse like "these cartoons today suck" etc. There was nothing in my comment that suggested I was better than anyone, so stop making a big deal out of nothing! The fact is you don't agree, fine, so get over yourself and why don't "you" stop. Thanks! ;)

  • @lenzino7383 That's just it though, there's no reason to say it's a shame kids now can't grow up with these things. They can. To say otherwise is to imply you're somehow better or something because you were part of "the first wave"

  • hey guys guess what? Batman is hiding behind two mountains. Now you can't unsee it! hahahahahahaha

  • @supersaiyanbuu FUCK UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • 0:24 Damn! Like a cold shower down the spine when I remember :D

  • This is my shit right here, I am glad I grew in the 90s unlike today all cartoons are a joke and shit. Superman batman thundercat. Gosh i do miss the 90s turning into fox kids every day 4.pm after school. Spiderman the animated was thr best love all these shows along with freakazoid. Smh good old days.

  • This song defines Batman.

  • Not Nolan, but this show defined Batman.

  • Worst part in each episode ;)

  • Worst part in each episode ;)

  • When I was a kid I used to think this show was a spin off to the first two films directed by Tim Burton. Ha ha.

  • @jpdrama1

I also used to thought think that this series was meant to take place after the first two films (and that the show simply ignored that the Joker and Penguin both died in the films). Especially since the Joker and Penguin were both treated as already established characters when they first appeared on the show.

  • This is from the very first episode.

  • not only does this hold memories for me when i was a kid in the 90's coming home from school and watching this show, but the music to this day is AMAZING. danny elfman is amazing, im a huge fan of hus music scores and batman is still my favorite. i love how they carried over tim burtons batman world into the cartoon and kept the movie theme. B89 + Batman Returns + BTAS = AWSOME!

  • I wish it was longer.....

  • When these end credits came, you knew you had to wait for the next Awesomeness-flooded legendary episode.

  • Batman is the most popular superhero.

  • The only thing that could've made this ending better is if they'd used that male choir theme song they use sometimes, like at the end of Mask of the Phantasm.

  • Thank god for the DVDs of this show. :D

  • name of song?

  • ∆ ∆

  • I really miss that show

  • I would rather the whole animated series to this than any live Batman movie made..u might disagree but i dont care...this show was the shit when i growing up..if they have the series on dvd i would buy them all. including the spiderman animated series.

  • the most epic ending

  • If you're a fan of the Batman movie with Micheal Keaton and Jack Nicholson, you'll like this show.

  • @oxDannyBxo no youll love this show

  • That's what I meant.

  • We need to put this show back on the air and save the next generation of kids from the mindless torture that Disney Channel, 4Kids, CN, and Nick has become. The cartoons of today have no plot, no morals, and no good animation. They are just there to make kids stupid. Have kids watch this and they will know what a cartoon series really should be.

  • @gurneyman100 - Truer words have never been spoken.

  • @gurneyman100 Everything is toned down for kids nowadays - less violent, more gender balanced, less adult, less intelligent, more PC - it's a sick patronising joke and I feel so sorry for them.

  • @gurneyman100 Yes, I had (and still have) to suffer through the terrible children's programmes on T.V . As soon as I discovered BTAS, I never looked back.

  • @gurneyman100 On the other hand, this is a series with complex emotional plots which-ah, screw it, this show developed my mind more than school ever could.

    Bring back TAS!

  • @gurneyman100 the cartoons of our childhood and im a teenager that is in knowledge of the real cartoons this GREAT show was up in the last years of 1990's and early 2000's

i am the only teenager in 1000 that can think

  • every time i use my grappel hook in Batman:AA i think of that part of the music that plays everytime batman appears to surprise the enemy on the show

  • this theme for some reason gives me goosebumps

  • anyone have the batman and robin end credits..i remember that was awesome too

  • 0:19 I AM VENGENCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM...BATMAN!

  • @jacksontrevon ah damn i always thought it was i am the darkness, i am the knight etc. woops

  • where can i get this badass theme as a ringtone?

  • This show was a gift from the gods. I have yet to see a show that is half as good as Batman TAS in today's world. Long live the 90's!

  • I think they're making crappy tv shows nowadays cause they want it to make it kid friendly or something

  • @simonsays645 Exactly. Psh I was a kid and I watche dthis and turne dout ok. Granted I have to savagely beat up people every five seconds but other than that i'm relatively ok.

  • used to pump me up this show when i was a kid!

  • Monumental. that's the only way I could ever describe the music that goes to this animation.

  • Aaah. I love this show.

  • Better then the shit that's on nowadays.

  • Listen it on the credits for the episode "The Clock King", it's the same music, but with some slight differences, like if it is a "remix" or "alternate version".

  • Just listening to the music gives you the chills.

  • I hate it how cartoons are not this great anymore...maybe 'cause they are made by idiots that think it's popular and funny...when actually it's stupid and lame.

  • @98animefan *cough likebatmanbraveandbold *cough

  • Comment removed

  • This show is absolutely incredible!

  • This was taken from "On Leather Wings."

  • Marval has always been too...well I can't find the right word but D.C have always had the better heroes like Batman and Superman

  • FUCKING EPIC! Man the 80s and 90s was the last generation of great cartoons and shows. And also the last generation for common sense!

  • @TheNewEmphinix jeeze im geting sick of those nostalgic morons who always say that the past things were better, that is NOT entirely true, YES this batman is to be awesome when i was watching it as a 9 year old kid... and nowadays there are anime (japanese based) which have evolved to a whole new level... so in essence the past had its glory and still has it but time goes on and change has to take place. Newer is sometimes better

  • @yougonasorry

Anime sucks now that is dead like crappy anime like Naruto and Bleach last time I seen good anime it was on toonami.

  • @MALDASF Naruto sucks? well i have to say that Naruto is one of the best anime

  • @yougonasorry

LOL I rest my case how old are you 10.

  • @MALDASF nah 23 years old, naruto and bleach are indeed my favourite anime and mangas, don't see what age has to do with it... are you going to tell me that DBZ is also crap? we all have different taste buddy

  • @yougonasorry

LOL you must be one of those kid that want to be Japanese anime suck balls the new like Naruto and Bleach is the justin bieber of anime.

  • @MALDASF 'one of those kid that want to be japanese anime suck balls...' try to make some fucking sense will you. In regards to the mangas/animes they are taking over, due to the simple fact that they are simply more entertaining to watch. Now if you don't agree, then it's your opinion, you can go back to power rangers and spiderman none really cares

  • @yougonasorry

It suck end of point weebo go watch your stupid naruto with story and filters and dress like one and plus Spider-man is more famous then crappy ass Naruto and Bleach.

  • @MALDASF lol getting angry about cartoon, and you call me childish? hahaha fuck off and get a life retard

  • @yougonasorry

LOL you mad cause anime suck.

  • @yougonasorry

Yes, people get carried away with nostalgia and always think that everything in their time was better and everything now is crap.

    However.

As far as animation in the US goes, the mid 1980s through maybe thearly 2000s ARE now referred to by many in the animatin industry as the "2nd Golden Age." (The first being from the '30s thru the '50s, followed by a long, dark period of decline in the 60s and 70s). Creative freedom was flourishing and old restrictions just collapsed.

  • i remember as a kid waiting for the end of the show JUST to listen to this classic theme

  • 2 words for this show. Pure Perfection.

I love this when this was shown in the UK.

  • This theme!!! It's... perfect!

  • Even the end credits for the show fucking awesome!

  • The picture of Batman covered in his cape is epic and is the most memorable part of my childhood when I used to watch this.

  • Batman > anyone from JLA or Avengers

  • 3 words for the show. Dark. Epic. Masterpiece.

  • @Gambit7Beyond what about badass?

  • BAT: TAS was and still is one of the best cartoons that humankind has ever, and will ever make!!!!

  • 1992 must have been the original air year for BTAS. Warner Bros. cartoons from the early 90s were, indeed, memorable.

  • even for a show made in 1992, this show was WAY ahead of its time. that's why this show rules.

  • @gent777 this i can say is the best one and I've seen many

  • @gent777

It wasn't ahead of its time at all. If anything, it was sort of a return to tradition, since it owed so much of its inspiration to the 1941-44 Superman shorts from the Fleischer Studios. But what this show did was smash, once and for all, a lot of the stupid rules and restrictions that had weighed down children's TV since the mid-70s, keeping any real drama or action from being shown. In that regard it was a real breakthrough, and a LONG overdue one.

  • @gent777 i'd say its still better than alot of whats out there now. and i don't just mean in the animated medium either

  • man it's been sooo many years since i used to watch this after school, and i still feel a twinge of "aww man, the episode is already over?" when i hear that opening fanfare. such a great score on this show.

  • wen i was younger i took this picture of batman n drew it lol :D

  • oh damn it why can't play this now on T.V. T_T this is my childhood right here :D

  • one word- PERFECT

  • One of the best ending themes ever. Danny Elfman is one of my all-time favorite film composers, along with John Williams and Hans Zimmer.

  • yeah geniusssssss

  • Theme by danny elfman, yet music by shirley walker? hmmm

  • they were finally smart enough 2 release this officially. i ordered the 2 disc edition. cant wait to put in in my ipod.

  • wow i didnt know they came out with music cd for this show sweet!

  • Danny Elfman is a genius!!!

  • its on leather wing you got

  • I love that theme.

I thank Tim Burton and Danny Elfman for the 1989 movie Batman, which allowed Batman TAS to exist, with this marvelous theme.

  • I love the picture. It's soo Iconic.

You can only see Batman's white eyes and you know he's making a fist which is covered by his cape and there is a Red sunset in the background.

Fantastic picture with a beautiful theme!

  • When I was real little, I got a new pair of Batman shoes with that picture on the box. My dad liked it so much that he cut out the picture and had it framed. And my dad rarely liked anything so outwardly.

  • That picture rocks, I had it as my wallpaper for a while. In one episode, called "The Grey Ghost", who is the inspiration to Batman according to this series. Batman has a poster of him!

  • @Zorianff9 Thank bob kane
